I thought Laf had a good game idk why he got benched. But I do notice that Gallant is harder on Laf than anyone else. Maybe it’s because he knows his potential and wants him to reach his ceiling.

Maybe gallant is hard because he knows he can lead the team.

AL is quiet out there…granted, the other options arent great but its not like he is making himself undeniable.

He's been playing a bit better on the 3rd line. I think he needs some pressure on him to really thrive, and when he's the most skilled guy on his line, it makes him put in the work. More than that, he also seems to match the pace of his line mates, so if he's out there with up-tempo, grinding guys, he can adapt to that style.

He has all the skill in the world, but he needs to get better at his reads and better anticipate to make up for his lack of speed.

I saw it and thought of Kane as soon as I saw that.

That was an impressive performance for the two teams in the shootout given how good these two goalies are in that situation.

Hajek was solid. If this was a showcase, he done good.

I would be happy if they got rid of Nemeth, let Jones play, and kept Hajek as the seventh. Or whatever, just kept Hajek as the seventh.

This is why the team didn't want to waive him before the season and lose him for nothing, he's not a totally worthless player. He's exposed if you ask him to play 15+, but otherwise you could do worse as your seventh D.
