Finding ways to win games they should be losing is huge for a young team. Might be the best sign things are actually turning around. The "bad" game aren't horrendous and they aren't playing themselves out of games. The attitude when they fall behind in games is a complete 180 from last season.
We shouldn't have lost tonight. Most likely should've lost against the Sharks and deserved to lose against the Kraken. We were fine tonight, especially in the 1st and 3rd.

I agree with the general premise though. It's encouraging.

They played bad enough in the 2nd to lose this game, but yeah they didn't let it get out of control and played a better 3rd period.

I wamt to see video of Thompson flipping out after the game . Not sure why but I love seeing that shit

Not me. I'm a former goalie and I've been there. Frustrating as hell when you let in one that you know immediately was a bit soft, and it costs your team.

And Chicago has the same jersey. I saw a mockup of the Wings one but instead of black it was white and they looked pretty sick

It’s not same. The Chicago one works because the letters are outlined in a different color and there are three colors on the jerseys. Detailing matters.

If Detroit one didn’t say “Detroit” in white, it would look like a red & black men’s stripped shirt your Mom bought you at Macy’s.

And plain white lettering is bad.

Yeah as f***ing frustrating as this game was it was the best game since the Ranger one (Ducks don't count)

Thompson was incredible, he stoned us like a good 3-4 times tonight. Pretty comparable to that Rangers game exactly too with the other team having a powerplay in the middle of the third to ice it and the Devils PK killing it to allow the team to comeback and win in OT.

Sure. Except I simply don't believe they were capable of playing at this level (or anything in the same stratosphere) at that point. Hard for me to be too hard on a dude for simply not being ready yet.
Guys who "weren't ready yet " were leading the team in ice time.

We are at the point as a franchise that it makes mkre sense to use our 1st round pick on an elite player that helps us now , instead of 3/4 yesrs down the road when the pick MIGHT turn into an NHL player , especially where our pick likely ends up (32nd lol) .
No poimt in hoarding playere like Shara , we habe the prospect and player depth to trwde someone like him if we add an elite piece like Meier. Make it so Fitz
I think you are 100% correct... existing prospects too.

Last year we'd have good starts or come back and make a blowout more respectable. VV has been a rock and won't let in that back breaker. Just so many things going right and it's a wonderful thing. Finally living up to the hype. Last season when you watched or listened to the other teams feed. You'd hear "New Jersey has a bright future ahead of them". I'm like stop blowing smoke up my ass from ownership on down this organization can't get it's head put of it's ass. I'm one of the many of the "fire Lindy" brigade I had enough. I've been a backer of Ownership and Shero and rebuilding from scratch etc. Then when I just about lost hope...

It's funny. I get a bit downtrodden when we go down by a goal, but by the time it gets to about 5 minutes left, I get excited and feel like there's no way we won't be able to tie it.

Sometimes that's the quickest way to get them ready.

Even if they were playing at this level, the pieces weren't there for those teams to be Actually Good, so what's the harm in letting the future of the team cook?
