say Klingberg works out perfectly on the second pairing - who would you snag with the rest of our cap?
imo it would be a servicable veteran back up goalie and someone to physical with some offensive upside on the wing to fill the gap for Kane assuming he wont be ready until playoff time.

Lets slow down the hype train just a BIT here, lol. Hey, I hope this is 110% correct and he plays like the 2019 version of himself. I just am not expecting anything approaching that. He was complete dogshit in his last few years. He is also 32 years old and coming off a major surgery. I am expecting a 7th Dman, and anything above that will be a welcome surprise.
He said this injury of his and the pain was in for his whole career. The pain and injury are gone now. I think that's pretty good to hear and he said his speed, motion is back

Heard a good interview from him the other day where he talked about how his hip issues affected his skating the last few years particularly when moving backwards. He said he lost his ability to get back quick enough and keep his gaps so he had to overcompensate by backing up earlier giving the attacking forwards more free rein. Kind of lost his ability to close gaps quickly and be aggressive defensively essentially. He said this is the first time in several years he feels he trusts his skating again.

I’m interested to see how he does. If he is in fact able to move well again I have never doubted his ability to move the puck.

I pray Klingberg ends up being a top 4D so they can spend cap on goaltending instead
This. Not just cap but assets. It might mean the difference of adding Vejmelka vs some lottery ticket goalie, or none at all. It might really be the biggest factor in us winning a cup or not.

I'm very high on Klingberg. Even if he looks bad at first, he should find his game in time.

He wasn't just a skilled D. He is not exactly physical, but he was a very intense player who absolutely rise to the occasion if the temperature gets heated. Imo he is a PERFECT complement to Nurse as well, in terms of his tools. Thats his spot

We did NOT get him to be just another Stecher or to play the bottom pairing. We got him for the ceiling of what he could be.

Imo the question is not whether he will be better than he was last year, but how much better. This wasn't a surgery to repair an injury, like if he blew out his knee. It was to recapture what he was years ago

Waiting to see Klingberg play.....

Management is hell bent on skinner. If edm wins a cup they will have to play perfect hockey and hope he doesn’t give up 4 goals on 15 shots consistently enough. Seen in so much it’s not even funny anymore.

I think klingberg will surprise. He has his movement back, I think he just needs to get back to game speed.

Klingberg is like the height of Ekholm combined with the weight of Yamamoto and the defensive competence of Justin Schultz and the physical dominance of Linus Omark.

Or maybe not, I dunno, my judgement of him may be clouded by his hip problems. But he is lanky.

How are his pancake eating skills compared to Dustin Penner?

Put Klingberg and Bouchard both on the powerplay and get RNH away from it.

Trying to recreate the Sharks dumpster fire PP with Burns and Karlsson on it?
