I'm excited to see how he does. Adds some size, physicality, and a great shot to our lineup. He's been chomping at the bit to get a taste of the NHL, here it is. Let's see what he's got. Play smart and use that big body to get to the net. Slot in DLR's spot on the third line and drop DLR to Mac's spot, Mac to the pressbox? Unless someone else got injured, in which case it's anyone's guess.
Nah Mac looks way better than DLR.

I’m excited to see Kostin as well.

We've called up prospects before in situations like this and they haven't played. Army doesn't want to force Berube to play 11 forwards and 7 dmen in case of injury or fatigue with a back-t0-back. There wouldn't have been time to get him in for the 2nd game if if something happened to a player in the 1st game.

He might play, but it's no guarantee. To me it just says Walker is just a career minor-leaguer, like a TJ Hensick or an Agostino or any of those types of guys.

Kostin needs games. To call him up and waste him like that would be completely idiotic and flat out unacceptable IMO.

You forgot to include Sanford.

Excited to see Kostin! I think Sanford should be the one to sit.
As down as I’ve been on my prospectus of Kostin, I want him to succeed and hope he can use this opportunity to learn what it will take for him to be a successful NHLer.

Good luck, Klim!!

We need you.

I hope he is in the lineup Friday, but if I was putting money on it I'd wager he is in the pressbox. I won't agree with that decision, but I think it is the one Berube will ultimately make.

It's a what 3-5 day stint with NHL practices, it's not going to throw off his development.
What’s the point of that? When he could just play a couple real games in the AHL. We have a back to back also so it’s not even like we will be practicing. He would probably have ONE practice.

Having both Sanford and DLR in there again would be laughable.

Insurance if there is an issue. I hope he does play, just won't be mad if he doesn't.

Good for Kostin, glad to see him get some time with the big team. Here's hoping he forces Army's hand and sticks in the lineup!

Side note, I don't really get all the Sanford hate. He's been pretty decent lately IMO (not GREAT, but decent enough). Guess the fanbase has to have a whipping boy and Steen is out for a while...

Excited to see Kostin her his first taste. I wonder how long he can stick around. This is a big moment for him.

I think the most important thing for Kostin is to avoid dumb penalties. Otherwise, just go out and play your game.

I think a lot of the Sanford "hate" is is directly related to the Fabbri trade. I think Zach has been "Okay ". He hasn't overwhelmed me, but he hasn't been brutal either. I still think he is our most expendable player. I hope Kostin plays and does well.
