Prospect Info: Klim Kostin (31st overall in 2017)

I can't speak for CB, but I'm rooting for sanity to prevail. When many are suggesting a prospect be given what they haven't earned, I think it provides balance to establish the counter-point.

Or maybe this is just a frame of reference, that when you desperately want a prospect to be handed a Golden Ticket but they can't even be bothered to buy the candy bar, I guess it can be irritating when someone points out that the guy walked right past the candy store again.

Who do you feel had a better preseason, Kostin, Sanford, or Fabbri? I feel Kostin was better then both, but he was sent down due to waivers and those two were kept up. Neither of those guys bought a candy bar either, IMO.

I am not saying he deserves to be called up over Walker who is clearly more productive at this point. Shoot Poganski may be the one called up he has had a great start to the year and is a north south player.

But CB stated he is a bust. And has been trying to defend that since. Rooting against our own prospects is just flat silly to me. And I just don’t see the point in finding glee if a prospect not putting up points in a game.

I said that he will never turn out to be a regular NHLer. That’s what I said.

If that means “bust”, then so be it.

And there has been absolutely no rooting against anyone.

I'd rather DLR to the pressbox. That 4th line has looked great recently.

Maybe. I didn’t think it was that bad of a hit or worthy of a suspension and he only got a minor illegal check to the head penalty but it’s hard to predict suspensions.

With today's NHL's DoPS, it could range from no review to death by firing squad. You just never know what mood they are in or who was involved. Standards be damned.

I've been following this fellow since his Draft, I'd really hoped he would have slipped into the 2nd Round for the Canucks. I'm excited to see him get a prolonged run of play to get into a groove. He brings that nice triad of skill, strength and snarl.

This is great news. Nothing like Walker etc bs vet AHL'er who doesn't have future in Blues. Love Army gives kid chance to show what he got and this will give him needed help what Kostin needs to improve when he go back to AHL for rest of season.
