I think Musty is a LWinger..Well, we do still need a second line LW.
For what it’s worth. McKenzie said today on this topic- We’re always looking for ways to improve,” he added. “The best way to put it is that we’d like to do it without sacrificing the future or significantly hurting our draft pick cupboard.”
Believe that scoops account put the pinelli thing out there- same account who’s tweeted out a fire sale was coming
Now if we could only ask Kamil Bednarik to drop in we could avoid that "hurting our draft pick cupboard” thing ....... dreaming of course.
Well, we do still need a second line LW.
Not saying Pinelli is a second line winger. I’m saying as our team stands now our first line is our first line and we would like to have a left winger to complete the top six. Obviously, if Pinelli were acquired, he’d bump Swick off the first line.No disrespect meant but if Pinelli is your 2nd LW after scoring 48 last year, Swick must be a hell of a lot more impactful than I thought!
At 1.4 ppg this season, Pinelli would easily be your leading scorer.
At least keep it real. I understand the fan base isn’t all that interested in buying and I can get on board with that but diminishing the prospective players they could add in an effort to justify not buying is kinda sad really, no?
Pinelli sits 3 points behind the Rangers current points leader and because of the WJHC, Pinelli has missed 11 games. He’d easily be the most impactful offensive forward. And, he plays in Dave Cameron’s defensive structured system so it is not like you are acquiring an inflated scoring player from Saginaw.

Just like with Humphreys coming in now. As I pencil out our lineup, I have him bumping Romano out of a top six C role.
But that’s just me. The coaching staff may see things different.
Agreed.I think Humphrey starts on the 3rd line to start but that’s just my guess.
I get it guys. I do. That’s why I said no disrespect meant. But, if Kitchener is serious, and they may very well not be serious about this season, adding Pinelli, especially considering they already know the family and his brother was the captain and he is the captain in Ottawa, Headrick is the fair market value.

No doubt Pinelli is a quality fwd.
The question is, would he be enough to beat London in a 7 game series.
By himself, probably not. Toss in Humphrey, Valentini, Sale, and who knows what else MM has up his sleeve, dunno.
I think MM is thinking at least part of what you are thinking OMG67. Plus he has visibility to stuff we don't (Humphreys moving from Michigan to the Rangers as a NCAA commit that was drafted in the 11th rd due to said commit, maybe Sale and/or Valentini and maybe more stuff).
We're gun shy due to two MM buy years that resulted in a 2rd exits as low West conference seeds that cost us dearly in our pick cupboard.
I think if the managements hesitation is aligning with London’s competitive and non-competitive years, then they have to be committed to waiving the white flag every 2 out of 3 seasons. That means no matter where they are in the standings, they have to sell graduating players. I don’t think the management is in the same mental mode of the London blocker to play that game.
London has a really good 17 year old goalie with no OHL experience and an OA goalie that has lost his net for 100+ point teams two seasons in a row in the WHL playoffs. I don’t think London is as sturdy as many think. They do have gaps that can be exploited. If they do end up with average goaltending and Parsons continues his current path, I wouldn’t’ count out the Rangers with a few additions.
Parsons seems to be doing very well with the heavy workload. But, I remember the injury from a couple years ago all too well and worry a little whenever he goes back to back. MM may worry a little too.We rely on 1 player very heavily that is playing imo too many games.
Thought you guys were buying, no?I think Musty is a LWinger..
Holy crap I’d love to see the comment section of the 67’s thread after acquiring a 5’7 150lb forwardNo disrespect meant but if Pinelli is your 2nd LW after scoring 48 last year, Swick must be a hell of a lot more impactful than I thought!

Market value, he is easily worth Headrick. How many picks added? I don’t know. But, keep in mind, it is fine to say the team doesn’t’ want to pay the market price for an elite forward. That’s ok. Not every team is going to do it using their 1st round pick. Boyd has not done it in Ottawa either and he’s had loads of opportunities to add elite players using 1st rounders so I 100% get the sentiment regarding trading high ceiling rookies.

Hard to tell right now. I think in a perfect world we sell Musty and then buy younger pieces that will be back next year. But we all know the world isn’t perfect…..IMHO, Musty has played 11 really good games for us this season. He won’t be back next season. But he is so offensively gifted and when he is on top of his game it’s like watching a man play against boys. A team that is struggling to score could use his 2 pts/game.Thought you guys were buying, no?
A good indicator on a players size are parents and older siblings sizes. Headricks older brothers are 6'-0"+.Holy crap I’d love to see the comment section of the 67’s thread after acquiring a 5’7 150lb forward
They already have a player like that in Panelli.Holy crap I’d love to see the comment section of the 67’s thread after acquiring a 5’7 150lb forward
I know that about Headrick but I’m wondering how many Ottawa fans would know that. Beast would lose his mind lolA good indicator on a players size are parents and older siblings sizes. Headricks older brothers are 6'-0"+.
Having said that, I'm all for seeing Headrcks reach 6'-0" in Ranger blue!
Pinelli 5’9 168 so still quite a bit biggerThey already have a player like that in Panelli.
