No idea how things will shake out with the OA situation, but I think it would be a mistake to let go of Pugliese. He (and perhaps Headrick once we see him again) play with the most passion on this team each and every shift. In a post last year I had mentioned that on the Pugliese - Mercer - Bottineau line, he was the guy that stirred the drink - at least the way I saw it.
.....speaking of which, I agree with some others who feel that line needs to get back together. I know it's early but Mercer and Bottineau just don't seem to be very effective with their current linemates. Seems like, for instance, whenever Bottineau crosses the blueline with the puck he just shoots it on goal for an easy save. Maybe it takes time to get used to, and better utilize your linemates, but we all know what the PMB line (or whatever you choose to call it) brings the table. In my mind this is a good example of "the whole being better than the sum of the parts." If that change was made, I think you would then have at least have 3 lines that could be considered capable of scoring on any given shift. Maybe not the best three lines in the league, but a better chance at putting some pucks in the net than now. Who knows, Pugliese might score 20 this year, and Mercer and Bottineau would likely do better too.
If MM was able to find a team interested in Swick, I'd personally be comfortable with Pugliese and Misaljevic as this team's OA forwards. Up to this point, Misaljevic seems to be reasonably effective on the line with Romano and Lam - IMO.
Edit: I would add that if there were to be know interest, or no reasonable trade value for Swick, I would then keep Swick and Pugliese, but then again I'm not the guy who calls the shots.
