Don’t disagree with the lineup, but just wishing we had someone with a bigger offensive toolbelt to play with Romano and Lam. Guess that’s part of a rebuild pain.
I wish Lam and Romano had bigger tool belts themselves...that way we could split them up more easily.

Fwiw, CRTC mandates that networks provide and pay for X amount of local programming and broadcasting. That's why you'll see most sizeable communities have a local network station with apit of volunteer/local interest shows like Lions Kiwanis bingo etc. For now, local Jr A hockey counts as local programming, I think. It's also one of the only (if not only) programming that brings in ad dollars.

Yeah it would be nice to support these two talented young guys who were both Top 12 in rookie scoring among the '07's last year (Reid was in there too, and Romano caught up after an arguably slow start). Maybe Bottineau would benefit from playing with these two in the proposed trio.

Didn't someone say in an earlier post that they will ALL be televised? Home games, that is?
I was going to say, I thought I saw something that showed which ones will be televised and it said all home games were going to be.

OHL - Heffner Toyota Kitchener Rangers Hockey
When you go to their website it sure looks like its showing based on the times it has there.
Also when you go to the generic rogers schedule that has all their things it has the rangers game in the 7:00 timeslot.

Rangers appear to have EBG63 stitched on their sweaters this year.

Maybe they can try one of recent draft picks up the line up and see if they can contribute like romano and lam did last year only way to find out

IMPORTS......Brown's article this morning says that MM hopes that Sale gets returned (so do we) and/or imports report from men's leagues in Europe (love to see Kos).

So it sounds as though that MM hasn't given up on landing a import for this season. As always, we will see. Currently, Sale is not listed on the roster.

Also noted how young (but talented) the team is and that even if Rangers are higher up the food chain by December, there WILL be trades. I'm happy to hear that. Let's fill up that cupboard. Rangers are NOT going to win their division let alone go to the Memorial Cup this year.

My recollection...........when Romano and Lam were at the rookie camp back in the day, they were initially put together and magic happened. They both seemed to know where each other would be and had the speed/talent to keep up to each other. It was a joy to watch. IMHO I would like to see Romano and Lam on the same line this season with ?????????? Would the speedy Misaljevic be a good fit? Go getter Arquette? Or perhaps Botts?

BUT as always........no matter how we like to "set" the lines, surprises are always in store.

GAME DAY!

The 2024-2025 journey officially starts tonight from The Aud. I can't wait to be back in the rink. A fairly big test for this year's group right off the hop as the Erie Otters make their way to our neck of the woods.

Kitchener vs Erie

Let's go Rangers!

Thanks for the notes from the Record RTB.
I personally always appreciate this info from both you, and other posters.
Some of us don't subscribe, so this is helpful.

Yes, Eugene Bernard George.
More on this from the Record:

“For the first time in OHL history, clubs are allowed to have sponsors on the front of their sweaters. The Rangers have found a community-oriented sponsor — which they aren’t naming until Friday’s game — to appear on the left breast.”

Well the Stark on D experience didn’t last long and I’m thankful for it as he looked like one of the most consistent forwards tonight. The whole team looked rusty and played like it was pre-season game 1 but not a bad result against what should be a strong Erie team. On to Windsor!
