Does Niagara have room for an OA? Based on what they just gave up for Brody Crane, we should get a boatload for an OA.
They’ll trade for anything. Should be MM first call even if it results in releasing a player after the trade

My prediction with Arcuri being sent to the ECHL and having a year of OHL eligibility left is he'll be back in the OHL. He may not be with the Rangers for very long as they already have an OA problem but i don't see a world where the ECHL is a better league for his development. Calling it now, he'll be back. Then what will the Rangers do?

My Hope.

Trade: Bru, Schmidt, Arcuri. Recoup a lot of assets.

Roll out:

Mesar, Rehkopf, Martin ( When healthy)
Missle, Sop,Swick
Lam,Romano,Ellinas,
Stark,Mercer, Pugliese
EX:Morey/Bottineau

Reid/Motew
Ando/Hamara
Scott/Campbell

I think the team above is formidable/ gains valuable playing/playoff experience for all our young guys and still recoups our cupboard with picks.

Stars have a pretty close working relationship with the ECHL team. They've had a few players spend their 20 year old season in Idaho when they were eligible for an overage season (Antonio Stranges and Remi Poirier last season for instance).

I wouldn't count on him being returned.

The league needs to look in the mirror. They do have to OK deals in this league, don’t they?
Maybe it's a 2 parter? We've done it in Kitchener with the Bracco / Stanley deals, we've talked about it again with regard to maybe giving it a go for this year..................But I doubt it. LOL!

If Einstein was a GM here in the Kitchener . His hockey definition of insanity would be as follows. If you finish 8th you trade all your picks and go for it. If you finish first you trade away some of the top players in the league and drop to 8th. I am just kidding but that is a possible scenario here presently if things keep rolling along. :)

It is the second part of a two part deal. This completes the trade for Dickenson 🤣

If I were the Rangers I would try to trade Martin. His injury hurts his value but see if you can make a condition of if he plays in X amount of games the pick is a round earlier.

I want the Rangers to play playoff hockey. Win those close and lower scoring games. Yes losing Martin would hurt but having arguably the best defence in the league would make up for it.

Brzustewicz - Andonovski
Motew -Reid
Schmidt - Hamara
X - Campbell

Having Campbell as a healthy scratch is not ideal but with those defencemen they would be really tough to play against. I can’t see Kitchener going up many goals with that D squad and with their goaltending.

I would then let all the chips fall at the deadline and try to sneak a trade in at the last minute. Just go for some depth player who will play a bottom six role on the cheap side. No one special or anything like that, just some depth that shows the team that they are still buyers and that they have faith in their team already.

Looking at the Petes roster I have no idea how their first place in the east, and it’s pretty cool to see. Does the defence carry the load as it’s looks pretty solid.

Looking at the standings I didn’t realize how tight the western conference is. One 6 game cold streak at the wrong time could put them in the 6-7 range.

Looking at the top three or four teams in the east their strength seem to be more on the defensive side looking at GF/GA . Especially the Petes. If the Rangers can break through that shell and score a couple it might force the Petes to open up. Owen Sound played a total defensive game against the Rangers and got their foot caught in their own trap. The Petes are doing something right to be where they are in the standings. Good challenge for both clubs.

Marten can make an impact on a game with his size. He is a decent player. The issue with trading him is he will be labelled injury prone. Opposing GMs might consider a trade to add size to their front end. Offers won't be over whelming.

+3 goal differential suggests it may be difficult to sustain that level of success.

Tony Saxon posted a stat before the games last night that is pretty telling.

Guelph Storm has scored 28 even-strength goals this season. Only OHL team with less is Peterborough, with 26, and they've played two fewer games. Kitchener has 65.

Hopefully it’s more entertaining than Butlers systems

Do we think that they will start Malboeuf tonight with the Petes being a lower scoring team and then start Parsons on Sunday with the Soo being a higher scoring team?
