Saved by the Malboeuf. Rangers billets must have a big roast beef dinner on and the players could smell it cooking before they came to the rink. Their minds weren't at the Aud. Sop just seemed to give up on plays and had no battle in him. No real stars in this game. Ottawa should have won it in the third. Hope Kressler is okay. Play like this against the Knights fuggetaboutit.

I’m still not sure why this keeps being listed as the fourth line on the lineups?

It is clearly the 3rd line by any measure.
I figure that once everyone is in the lineup, including Martin, we’ll have three pretty good to great scoring lines, or at least three lines that are a threat to score, and then the fourth line. That fourth line, even though they’ll be a shut down line, will put up some points here and there as well.

One thing I did notice today is Brzustewicz and Mesar getting in the net front scrums. Didn’t see that last year.
I thought Brz had a good game. Smart with his passes. Unfortunately the extra gear wasn't there for the rest of the team. The break outs were non existent and the goals (except Pugs) were lucky breaks. Next up: Guelph, London, London. Ooooooh baby.

Would you put Dirracolo in against London or roll with Campbell?

I thought they were "okay". I now remember that they had the "Fanfest - Skate with the Rangers thing" yesterday. That might have had something to do with their play. A lot of kudos to various players on the FB site. A lot of classy players on this team!

Watching biznasty in the Ranger's dressing room pumping the team up you would of thought it caught on. It's just a puzzle how this team goes flat for some reason and sits back in their end in the third period. Why doesn't Jussi call a time out and put a burr under their saddles? We always say it's junior hockey which is true but we have seen this happen in a few games this season. Ottawa has to get some credit also. They have real some talented players on that roster. Not an easy win on most occasions.

I didn’t think Sop would see the ice again after he took that bad penalty during a three minute shift.

Watching Sop who usually who is a creative player give up on pucks a couple of times along the boards in the offensive end made me wonder if he was under the weather. He wasn't the only Ranger player playing like this you just notice the top guys more. Ottawa was doing a job on Razor also keeping him in neutral and to the outside.
