Strange because Flint traded Hayes away. So the indication to me at least was they were not going to be buyers. Did you see it different?
No, all good. I thought you were referring to the value. Yeah, must be something else going on like a 3 part as I mentioned. Also as Offside mentioned, might be something internal where they were forced to move Hayes.

Mayich deal should be official soon and expect another tomorrow. They’ve told at least 2 billets to be prepared so unlikely to be any subtractions

MM is in the bargain basement now looking for a good used car.:naughty:
Im down for a good bargain after seeing all of the prices this year. Not that we even have the picks to do it but 5 picks for someone like Peer and 8 for Donavon would sink the potential of building around our 07s in a few years.

MM’s mistake in my opinion was not getting good value for Hamara or Schmidt. Could he have gotten a king’s ransom for the big boys? Sure, but having our kids being around them longer will also be good and if he makes a few small trades tomorrow anything can happen in the playoffs and I’m happy we’re not pulling a Sarnia.

Let's just hope he doesn't go shopping around 100 km west. Hunter is always looking to offload a lemon or two. 😁

We didn't need to pull a Sarnia. If we kept Hamara and Schmidt all we needed to compete with anyone was a couple of depth forwards.

On the flip side, I wonder what would have happened if we hung on to Hamara, maybe trade the "questionable" Martin and then traded Hunter B. Maybe gotten more value for Schmidt? With the Hunter assets, would we be just as good or better? Would Hamara have elevated his game to QB the PP?

Soo has his brother Travis, seemed like a likely landing spot for Gavin

They just Strohack to Peterborough. Good sized player but the numbers are low. 17 year old. Hard to tell with Flint as to what they are thinking.
