Maybe not. I read somewhere that he is an under achiever very similar to Schmidt. Fan opinion, I believe. But I, personally, still wanted him on the team for the sake of having a dyslexic duo on D. LOL!

While I’m not firm in the sell the farm camp but i must admit, when I seen Soo play Kitchener back on Dec 15th. I was in awe of this big kid flying around the ice, hitting everything that moves. He had an edge to his game and I really had never heard of him. I ended up looking him up and it was #17 Alex Kostov. 6 Ft 3 Could skate like the wind and was 17 years old. I'm sure a lot of you are happy I’m not the GM but if i knew that kid plus a pick package was available I would have been acquiring him ASAP. What a great deal for Flint IMO.

How do people feel about Blake Smith from the Flit Firebirds? He's an '04 left shot D that is 6'4" 202, and has 8 points, is a minus 1 in 36 games this year on Flint.

I think they keep him. Will have 3 solid OA next year and a big year from Ritchie
Simon Slavicek would be a great 3rd line center. Cheap import option maybe. Heard he isn’t going to be moved though. Weird as they sold Hayes and Kressler.

Not many teams able to compete with Saggy after these trades. They are really stacking the odds. With the assets being spent the Rangers just aren't in the game.
