I think young Pinelli like a lot of other graduating CHL players is in the process of finding out how difficult it is to play pro hockey. I think he has an edge to his game. Still you have to produce in the stats column to be considered.
Yep. The AHL is a whole different animal to junior hockey. Teams are basically made up of 60-75% NHL 4th liners. It's grindy, dirty, boring hockey alot of the time. High scoring junior players take a year or two to get use to it. But once they are use to the speed and strength out there, they're better for it.

Windsor just got weaker right before our home and home with them this weekend...

If Kitchener has a massive collapse and are in the bottom half at deadline, this essentially take Saginaw out of the Brzustewicz stakes right?would be 2 elite offensive defenceman and a solid one in Dionicio but many goals against

Schmidt to Saginaw?

Schmidt to Saginaw for some defensive help? The only only issue is that it would likely be a 3 way deal to find a home for Loukus.

They were always going to be.

GM Dave Drinkill was on record as saying he wanted to make his trades early. The host has the advantage of knowing they're going to be there....and he found his partner - Windsor, the only team that has seemingly put up the white flag at this stage. The other teams possibly wait to see how things shake out before making trades (?)

They got a lot more picks. They are still going to add some really good players.

When Pinelli is returned to OHL.
Kitchener does not own his rights anymore. The Rangers currently have four overages on the roster and they had to down to four by November 10th. All other overages had to be released after that date. My understanding this applies to all overages not just those on the roster.

I don’t think that is exactly right. I think teams can manage their 30 player cards and 45 player protected list without affecting roster constraints.
Did Guelph not pull this off with a returned but not used AHL D traded to London 4-6 years ago?

Markus Phillips was returned from the AHL+ECHL just before the 2020 OA deadline while still protected by Guelph & flipped to London for good return (2nd/3rd/+).
