As per Mark Edwards "Rehkopf stood out to me as really having a poor game yesterday" (4:30)Canada 4-2 over U Sports yesterday. One empty net goal. Rehkopf no points. 2 shots on net.
Final game against USports. Rehkopf playing with Celebrini and Dumais
Link?Even with a pedestrian camp. Rehkopf appears to have made the team, he’s earned it
I saw it reported by Scott Wheeler on twitter/X. Doesn't appear to be official yet.Link?
Is this official?...........Link?
I thought I saw today that there was gonna be the live in person reveal at 6:30, but that the full list would be out earlier, so maybe. Is this official?...........
Team Canada World Juniors roster 2024: Macklin Celebrini, Matthew Poitras to lead team for U20 IIHF tournament | Sporting News Canada
Team Canada made its final cuts to its 2024 World Juniors roster. See which prospects will be representing the maple leaf in Sweden.www.sportingnews.com
Ryan Murphy. 2013.Awesome experience for Rehkopf. When was the last time a Ranger was on team Canada? It's been a while. Excited for the early start times.
That's quite the stat. It appears we are primed to have some more in the near future if the 07s continue on this great growth trajectory. Reid specifically is someone I could see making the team in a few years.Ryan Murphy. 2013.
I believe that’s the longest stretch without Ranger representation on Team Canada since day one.
dont want to sound upset but i think a lot of politics in some picks that were ignoredThat is some talent that got cut yesterday. I would hate to be the selection committee. They are leaving one spot open for a possible NHL'er. Any guesses as to who might be our best hope?
yacky you do seem to be upset about something. Can you elaborate at who you think got ignored by the powers that make the choices regarding the Team Canada roster? Just seems like a strange comment with no information attached.dont want to sound upset but i think a lot of politics in some picks that were ignored

Doesn't explain the "politics" yacky says is involved in picks. Just wonder who he thinks should be there in place of a player that made the team.Bedard - no chance
Fantilli - highly unlikely
Wright - decent possibility
Benson - has been playing really good of late
Poitras - play has declined so a decent possibility
Korchinski - highly unlikely
Maybe he’s referring to the annual perceived WHL bias?yacky you do seem to be upset about something. Can you elaborate at who you think got ignored by the powers that make the choices regarding the Team Canada roster? Just seems like a strange comment with no information attached.
Even I remember the immortal Don Cherry ranting about the selections for Team Canada. He thought there should be a more balanced roster across all Canadian regions. Not sure if that would cut it if you are selecting the best players available that suit the system the coaches want to ice. Looking at the roster I certainly have no idea of the skill level of most of the players from other leagues or what qualities the coaches are looking for in players. We really don't see enough of the teams in the OHL to get a good idea of the skill level of some players. Some posters think this squad doesn't look that strong. Guess we will find out. Just glad Rehkopf made the team. He deserves a shot with his stats.Maybe he’s referring to the annual perceived WHL bias?
6 of 8 cuts being OHLers won’t help diffuse that debate.
Now having equal representation from all regions is a slippery slope down to the B pool.Even I remember the immortal Don Cherry ranting about the selections for Team Canada. I think this was supposed to be a response to my post rather than Yacky's.Doesn't explain the "politics" yacky says is involved in picks. Just wonder who he thinks should be there in place of a player that made the team.
The consensus was he had a bad first game (which Edwards referenced) but had a really good 2nd game with Celebrini and Dumais. Scott Wheeler thinks this will be a line moving forward in the tourny. That didn't age well eh Edwards?...
