They need to get in a playoff spot first. Hope this team don't quit on their coach... or have they?

WJ
If they’ve quit on their coach, then MM had better act NOW. If not, we could very well be out of the post season.

Cmon..we can atleast throw in that 3rd we have and be nice.

Just to confirm I think we have 0 2nds and 1 3rd left to deal? Some 4ths and 5ths but those don’t get you a chair at the table.
We have one 3rd. Five 4ths.

Players who teams may have interest in that we can do without for this year’s run would be Parsons and Mercer.

I’m thinking MM is done. With those assets, anyone he brings in likely wouldn’t make that much of a difference anyway.

Tough to have extra draft picks to buy assets to put the team over the top when you're trading draft picks to cover up for shoddy drafting and player development to get the team where they should be. Once the Rangers cover up for those deficiencies there's nothing left to deal. I know...broken record yr after yr after yr.

Swick I’m sure is the asset that MM might part with and the biggest asset we would be willing to part with that tankers would be interested in. If he gets you a legit veteran 3rd line solid option he’d have to pull that trigger.

Isn't there something in the Rangers Mission Statement that they need to have minimum one Southern Tier Admiral on the roster at all times. Preferably a first round pick.

MM also brought in a new coach for an 'all in' season. I know the search for a coach was priority one, but maybe that should have waited till after this season. Is the disservice to the team not hiring a coach or hiring someone this inexperienced? You have to be 100% sure this is your pick when a deep playoff run is expected. Alas, here we are.

I've said this a while back but I firmly believe the issues with this team started with a non competitive camp. No competition for jobs therefore no fear or respect of a new coach. Players got lazy physically and mentally.
I agree Ward. I knew we were in trouble at the first exhibition game after a month of camp. The country club vibe was very apparent.

I think MM had to bring in a coach to concentrate on GM duties. You're right though. The trouble is he brought in someone with little experience who has turned out to be a bust.

I didn’t think you could trade injured players (Parsons)?

That seems like an underpayment - especially pick wise. Or is this a reflection of Wright’s warts?

This McCarthy is supposed to be a blue chipper if he reports? He better be for Kingston’s sake.

Can't imagine what WHL teams are thinking when looking at this trade. These are off season returns to them!
