This team has a three gear transmission and seldom gets out of second. Just once I’d love to see some passion and intensity where they just come out flying and desperate.

Sadly, it’s a country club and none of them are ever pushed to be better.
The coach doesn't have the room, but seems to have GM. Time is literally up; this team has to play legitimately well consistently the rest of the way just to make it.

With an extra year of experience, and a pretty good "paper team", this coaching staff has Constantini allowing a full goal (1.02) per game. 3.35 up from 2.33. That is massive.
There is nothing you can add that will make this coach good. It's now or never.
I have come to the same conclusion. This staff is not capable. Period.

He is good right? What’s his coaching record?
He was just ok last year until the last 1/4 and playoffs. I think doing the dual role takes too much of his time and/or focus away. He was very good when he took over from McKee.

I have come to the same conclusion. This staff is not capable. Period.
The assistants too, they've been here through a lot of the same issues not changing. Head Coach needs to go and takes the brunt of the blame, but I agree I think the rest of the staff shares significant responsibility as well...I think we might be stuck with them even if we get rid of CD.

I mean, sure. Flint isn’t hanging any banners in the building next year but they’re not Erie or Niagara. I’m losing my s**t in the Flint thread about this season and I would be if I was a Ranger fan too but…….you do have a couple kids returning soon and if MM takes over behind the bench it would certainly shake up a room that is stocked with talent and the only goalie in the league with Memorial Cup expierience. Give it a couple more weeks. THEN you can burn the Aud down.

This team has been underachieving from the start. A couple more weeks won't prove anything unfortunately. Now that MM has decided to go for it, it's now or never really.

Let's hope in this off season when MM hopefully makes another HC hire it's one with a proven track record. I remember at one of the Rangers upper management saying the OHL is not just a development league for players but also GMs and head coaches. Having an inexperienced coach like Dennis is a total disservice to the fans but more importantly to the players who's already fighting the odds for a pro career. Wonder if a proven winning coach here may have lured Hage to sign? I'm sure it would have given him more of a reason to along with other players.

Yeah. Another Bienkowski quote. That after the Smith hire. That was laughable and embarrassing.

I’ll never forget waiting for the live press conference where our new coach was going to be announced after the “extensive search”. The infamous “stack of resumes” on his desk from around the hockey world. Only to cheap out promoting an assistant.

Did I say this before? I’m glad he’s gone.

I don’t think there’s any way we can make any trade of significance right now. Not with the picks we have left in the cupboard.

The only way is if he puts players like Andonovski and Parsons on the block. Along with Mercer, and the minuscule picks we have left, he might be able to bring in one more piece. Forward or D.

Nobody wants to see Andonovski go, but at this point, I doubt MM cares about the next couple years. We’ll be so bad, he’ll eventually be dealt anyway.

“We could add around the edges and try to piece things together on the cheap but I think right now I’m looking at it and I feel like Rangers Nation deserves an all-in effort in terms of leaving no stone unturned and making sure we’re doing everything in our power this year to really push and do something special.”

Live by your words Mike.

Why do I have the feeling that CD will not be going anywhere? Yet, looking ahead at this month's schedule alone and the way the team is playing (or not playing), I can see an even longer string of losses going forward. It's obvious that a change is needed.

Or are the Rangers trying to have less STHs and even fewer single ticket sales next season? Without a change, this organization is going in one direction and that's not up.

No stone unturned means every possible piece of value not a part of this years run.

Mercer, Parsons, Andonovski (only if a D comes back), Swick if he’d be bumped to the 4th line and Bottineau.
No we can’t trade Bottineau at this trade deadline, but that doesn’t mean he can’t be included in a deal.

We traded untradeable Jack Combs a few years back in the off season to complete a deal the previous deadline (JM Rizk deal I believe).

So that’s also a stone that can be overturned.

Andonovski would be a part of this year’s run, but may have to go the other way in lieu of picks if we wanted to bring in a big physical D - a veteran version of Andonovski who is where Andonovski will be two years from now.

Is this a recent quote? This really sounds like a coach that knows he should be fired.
Yes. City News. Dennis is like the Black Knight in the Search for the Holy Grail. Arms and legs chopped off. "It is but a scratch". "Come back you bastards I'll bite your legs off". It's his never say die attitude! Last years win in the play offs gave the management a false sense of glory. Great goaltending and timely goals by Petizian did that job. Now after a brutal start and with MM hiring a new coach and painted himself into a corner where he had to react. He did make mistakes at the draft table. The only hope is he traded for the right players and someone can get this thing going. Can't cry over spilled milk. It's what they have to work with now.

I believe that MM will give CD a chance to show what he can do with a full (?) line-up and a week of practice with the new guys / returning guys. It also gets MM past the trade deadline. One could certainly make an argument that CD has already been given numerous chances, but IMO, I think it may make sense to give it another week or two. That pretty much would clear up any "what if's". Having said that, the negative part is that time is passing by and the team needs to move up the standings......like yesterday. Need more consistency too. So I could see the argument both ways.

He didn’t give McKee that consideration.

Just sayin.

I think he has giving it enough time. We sit in 9th place and 2 points in the last 6 games. If we wait 2 weeks it may be a big hill to climb. He also knows that he can get more out of the players then what is happening right now. He did a solid job when he took over for McKee and also late last season and the 1st round of playoffs. I’ve seen about 3 game this year where the Rangers played great. That isn’t even close to what was expected this year. Healthy, traded players not here, whatever…that’s not good. His style / system clearing imo doesn’t work for this group of players.
