I agree MM started from a weak position. When Hamara, Brzustewicz and Mesar all landed in Kitchener coupled with all the returnees from last season's decent playoff performance it gave MM a false sense. Did he read it wrong? It certainly looks like it now. But many many others did also. I myself have gone back and forth.

Where he landed in the quick sand was the last 2 trades. Up until then trading for Constantini and Moore would have had limited consequences. The problem was he slightly overpaid for Arcuri and Zhilkin. The biggest problem was he misread where the other teams would land after they would supplement already formidable rosters.

And here we are today.

One last thing. Sometimes you're better off trying to trade at the last minute. At least you see what the market is and how your team honestly stands in comparison. Right now it looks like this futile run at a championship (hope I'm wrong but I don't see it) will cost us an attempt building around 2 of the best prospects we've had in years when we have to offload Rehkopf and Brzustewicz to reload.

I REALLY like our team. I like what other teams have done. We're going to be in for some outstanding hockey because so many teams have improved. Looking forward to a full and healthy lineup. Hang on for a great ride.

Back in November when the team was struggling, I was thinking that this needed to be a sell year. I was actually hoping the slide would continue, but unfortunately they started winning some games and that led to MM making the trades to bolster the lineup. In hindsight, that little winning streak may not have been for the best.

Couldn't find any type of injury report on the web, what's the estimated time that Pinelli and Martin will still be out for

Pinelli 2 weeks.
Martin I remember hearing his goal to return is Jan. 13. So about a week away.

I thought heard Pinelli and Martin may be back next Friday. Sounds like longer for Motew. Week to week with a hand injury.

You could be right. Just going by memory.

If other news…Rangers were winning 3–1. Now 3-3. Being outshot 25 to 13 after 2nd period. I hope they lose 7-3 and coach is fired right after the game.

Yup. We’re contending. 🙄

I still believe if MM takes over and once we get Pinelli and Martin back that this team will wake up. MM has to make that call asap. His job is now on the line and his future in this business.

I was hoping if they lost it was by 4 or 5 tonight though to make it clear CM isn’t getting the job done.

What a joke of a game.

Give up a goal 14 seconds in. Tie it up. Get the go ahead although that was a gift from flint.

Held to less than 20 shots heading into the last minute of play.

Stupid penalties.

Coach calls a time out, draws up a play. You can see Rehkopf shaking his head in disagreement and imediatly they ice the puck.

This wasn't a 5-4 game don't be fooled.

This coach needs to go. You can NOT call yourself a contender and not pick up a single damn point. 2 points in the last 6 games.

Team was cheap enough to hire him, I'm worried they're cheap enough to keep him.

I've seen Leafs ineptitude (as a habs fan) my whole life, yet their fans give them a license to print money. If Dennis is behind the bench come season's end I'll probably not renew after 18y as a STH. Only fans can right the ship by voting with their feet.

I voted 10 years ago when I cancelled my tickets after what Bienkowski declared "an entertaining season". Looking back it was lol.
