Well, What Can I say?

Tonight was electric. Kitchener showed up. Fans where loud and made it a difficult environment for Windsor.

Kitchener played 4 perfect games. Always had coverage in the D zone. Didn't rely on the PP. It was a great series.

Unreal.

Onto round 2.

Will be interesting to see if Kitchener can have the same success against a Knights team (defense first) that is the polar opposite of Windsor (offense first).

Should be a great series! The Knights will definitely be motivated after last season's debacle! ;)

Umm. He’s a Flint fan.
Thanks. I deleted. I didn't get the spirit in which it was intended. Actually quite funny.

If we can play defense like that we'll take our chances. Looking forward to it.

S W E E P !!!!!!!!!!!! After the season that never was by a team who was great on paper, fans were rewarded with a stellar 1st round. THANK YOU!

Special thanks to MM who didn't have enough in the cupboard to trade for Shane Wright...

On to what promises to be a barn burner of a 2nd round with London. GO RANGERS!

It was pretty cool being there when the crowd noticed a too many men, and it remained too many men for a good 15-20 seconds while the refs just looked really confused as the crowd stands up and yells, then eventually, once the play is dead, make the too many men call after conferring.

I thought it was going to be a case of the crowd over reacting to a quick too many men, but once I figured out what they were yelling I counted and it was clear as day, and stayed that way the rest of the play with no Spitfires players or coach's noticing

Well well well, how the turntable.

2010 is now less embarrassing. Great atmosphere at the Aud! Special moment for Valade getting the EN at centre ice. Emotional moment for him, it's been a long OHL career.

Not how I expected the Rangers to play London, but here we are. Much different team. Regular season Rangers lose this in 5. Playoff Rangers, I have no clue. That's a new system on D, can't say Rangers are weak there anymore.

Looks like a week off for both teams, well deserved 👏

Reading the Windsor Star article Savard complained about Martin crosschecking a Spit then assisting on the 3rd goal. Said something to the fact the league should look at it. Said that was when the game turned. It turned in the first game and continued into the 4th. They are probably all cross eyed in the league office looking at all the videos Savard sent in. Guess he conveniently missed all the crosschecks his players got away with. He has to come up with some excuse after this massive failure. He did have the refs in his back pocket. They even were letting the Spits play once with too many men and refusing to call a penalty last night. It wasn't reffing that caused this sweep. The Spits were totally out coached in this series. We saw that ourselves this season several times. Spit fans have the right to be upset. Rangers won 2 games without the questionable suspension of their captain. In saying this most Ranger fans are still trying to process what happened and how the team turned around so fast once the play offs started. Lets hope the keep it up against the stingy Knights.

Now I don't feel so bad about the draft picks the Rangers gave up before and at the deadline. It makes the draft more palatable knowing the trades were worth it after this massive win. Coaching was the answer here. Lets hope when and if they hire a coach next year it's not another Chris Dennis. That's if they don't change their minds.

ya getting a historic 1st round 8 v 1 seed sweep, and having 2 first rounders too look forward to feels pretty good. MM is a bit more of a gambler than I'm comfortable with, but it's kind of paid off. Still some good players to trade to rebuild.

Awesome game I had such a great time GREST fans GREST experience (first time at the aud) def not the last , I came from Niagara , found free parking , went to the local bars talked to some fans , and then made it inside to honestly the best fan base I have ever been a part of , I was at the Hamilton finals last year and this trumped it by far , it was electric , I will be back many times during the playoffs (maybe even get myself a jersey 🥳) historic night , congrats

It doesn't look so bleak after the teams performance in this round. As fans you know teams have to pay to play if they want to compete in the play offs. Sometimes it works out like it has here in KW. You are correct Coroner about the gamble. At least having the two first rounders helps out next year if they make prudent decisions in the upcoming draft. I notice some of the draft eligible players in the first round have changed positions. Some are refusing to report to certain teams. This bodes well for Kitchener if a couple of players drop down to them..

I won’t go there yet. A lot of winning needed before our trade deadline is a success.

Emptying the cupboard going all in and getting past one round isn’t the goal.

That being said, we’re on the right track. And I like our chances vs London.

That...and looking at the different scenarios if the Rangers did get swept how much more difficult it would be to attract players to come here. By sweeping Windsor and hopefully a strong showing against London it should make it easier to attract players to Kitchener.

Attack fan here.Congratulations on the win over the Spits. I've been a Platers/Attack fan since day 1 so the Rangers have been kind of a hated rival the Platers brought that to O.S from Guelph. Having said that I am cheering for the Rangers as the Knights are well the Knights is all I need to say.

GO RAAAAAANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!

This summer is going to be another important one for MM; beyond the draft, he may need to decide if he can handle the dual HC/GM job, or if he needs to find either another HC, a new GM (with him as HC) or at least hire or give more responsibility to an AGM for non-hockey aspects of the job.
