It absolutely matter how Peer exited the bench (especially now, when the matter comes down to suspension or not), If you are skating by the bench at speed, and a guy hops off the bench directly in front of you (doesn't look first, back turned) with less than a seconds notice, it's going to be almost impossible to avoid collision, and the natural reflex will be to brace yourself. All of which diminishes any 'intent'...now if another angle shows Peer jumps on the ice 5-6 feet in front of Pinelli and it's clear he should have been able to A) see Peer coming and B) should have had time to react in a way that doesn't result in contact, then we can talk.
