Before we write off this season just keep in mind that so far we have only had 2 games when are top 6 has been fully healthy/here. This is as per JB.

another thing that should go into consideration is that (per Mike Farwell) the Knights were on top of the West before their game against Flint. going into today's game, they are 4th. the conference is tight

This week will be full of statement games for us. First it starts with LDN today who is 7-1-0-1 in their past 9 games. Then we play a blazing hot team in GUE. Followed by another game against a hot LDN. Then a trip up PBO who has one the top forward lines in the CHL and a stellar goalie. And that’s just this week, in our next 11 games (after the 4 mentioned above) we play 8 very tough teams OSX3, GUEx2, WSR, LDN and OSH and the other 3 are not pushovers in ER, HAM and SOO.

In other OA news, trading Jacob Tortora for simply holding his rights is looking pretty good. As an OA on a strong Barrie team, he's only at 6 points in 10 games.

Wow. London first goal turns from a one on three to 2 Knights standing alone in front of the net in a split second. Five vets on the ice too. You have to wonder what if any coaching is going on at this point.

Agreed, good return on that investment! Tortora had a rough start to 2019-20 too taking an 8-game suspension for head-slashing a player who was on the bench.

He did, yes, but the Rangers also defend like a peewee team at times. That was a straight 3 on 3. Assignments aren't rocket science. But spectating will do it to you every time. A basic 3 on 3 and London had two golden options of shot or pass.
I thought the first two goals were more on the D than Torchia, but felt he should have had the 4th at least. Just watching him closely, he seems to give up a lot of net frequently. Plays angles aggressively, but not effectively.

Torgo, he is definitely one of those goalies who likes to make acrobatic saves but takes himself out of position often to do so. So his need for big acrobatics is often his own doing.

However, it's a little column A and a little column B. The D play is garbage. Frequently day dreaming and spectating. The 4th goal was a basic read you do a million times in practice. A little communication and awareness fellas!

the defence has been horrendous, but fortunately they haven't been hemmed up on that side the whole game. they've had some chances

Was not a slew foot at all. Legs got tangled and both went down. OHL officiating/discipline continues to be a joke.
It looked more accidental than earlier plays this season on Ranger players that went unpunished. He tripped on Regula's skate and took his legs out from under him attempting to regain his balance. It's a trip in my eyes. Based on all of that, probably get's 10 games because the OHL is gonna OHL.

Well, there are a lot of "top" teams when we are doing so bad, right? :-(

After all that iPad playtime upheld the call, Hawel likely gets 2-games unless he loses the 'send a message' coin toss :help:

No matter who we play, it’s a statement game. We’re in last place in the conference. Even “one win Kingston” isn’t a gimme for this team.

with the Garreffa talk, I think there would be something to complain about regardless. With Hawel, we lost a 2nd for a 3rd and there is no one to run our PP. if they didn't make that trade, we would have been upset about missing an OA for that early part of the schedule, we would probably be extra hard on Joe for the turnovers and be upset about how small the team is

What’s the difference between complaining about Joey‘s defensive miss cues and having to put up with the vast amount of defensive miscues the current team is displaying. At least with Joey, our power-play may have been a lot better.

There really was no rush to run out and spend on a third OA this season. Everyone keeps talking about how we have to wait to the quarter pole or beyond to find out who we are as a team. That, to go towards a decision whether we’re buying or not.

We've now spent assets on Hawel, and do we really know who we are yet? Same thing last year. An opening in the import position appears and there’s a rush to fill it before we know who we are.

Last time I checked, you’re allowed to go into the season with less than three OA’s and less than two imports. They’ll let you play the games! No need to rush to spend assets just because.

this team doesn't score enough. trailing everyone but Kingston and Mississauga in goals for. only 5 guys have hit the 5 goal mark in game 18. you may argue that injuries have caused that, but 3 of those guys with 5+ goals have missed games (Pinelli, Hawel, Valade). we are all very high on Declan McDonnell, rightfully so, but he isn't a top 6 forward on many teams in this league. he reminds me of a Damiani or a Meireles that needs to work their way up to that role.

I'm with you in that there was no need for it, but it's a double-edged sword. but imagine the teams record had they started the season without Hawel or Garreffa. we would at least "know our identity", but it wouldn't be pretty
