A great idea from the London message board. The Salvation Army is asking that on teddy bear night if people would include children's hats and mittens along with their teddy bear. Apparently they say that there is a need and I'm sure there's a need here in Kitchener too. I think it's a great idea so how about we do that here as well on Tuesday night!

I've always felt this way that it should be much more than just Teddy Bears. Very limited in age groups that would appreciate the bears.
Teddy bears, various toys and mitts and hats....even have a cash boxes handy for donations!

Haha, true! And when it comes down to it, a bunch of kids will have smiles on their faces despite having their teddy bears (and hats & mittens) come from the Knights! :D

To really make a kids Christmas someone should sneak a Ranger sweater on the teddy bear before throwing on the ice!!! :yo:

Actually add food donations into this as well

Ward remember when you tried to hit me with the batteries in the Teddy Bear and got someone from Georgetown? Let me know if you are going to throw a can of beans. I will wear my hard hat.

Yeah.....never ever mess with anyone from Georgetown. Nothing good ever comes from messing with those hombres!

The latest rumour is Dal Colle to Kitchener. Thoughts if that's true?

Would be a nice addition but very expensive ... not sure if we've got enough 2nds after paying full retail on Tortora, Liberati, etc. Could cost the future and maybe a Bunnaman, Mascherin or Meireles :(

Could add Vande Sompel too which would make it a lot easier for Kitchener to add any of the 3 you mentioned. Vande will be back next year

I've been saying for awhile now that Kitchener seems to be the most likely destination for Dal Colle (at least it makes the most sense to me):
1) OSH needs to move him to acquire assets for their re-build.
2) London's assets will be best served acquiring one or two defensive d-men, so Dal Colle not a priority.
3) Erie's cupboard is virtually bare...can't afford Dal Colle
4) That leaves Kitchener (in the West) and they could use the services of both Dal Colle and VDS. With the addition of those two, other contenders would find it difficult to counter those moves.

Bobber: sometimes it hurts to sit down! ;)

The only wrench in what you just said is if Erie offers Lodnia. That would make them the front runners for DC and potentially MVS as well. I think it would be dumb for them to give him away, but hypothetically Erie could do that if they were planning to go all in this year

Possibly, but I think that Kitchener could easily match any offer made by Erie for DC's services. It should be interesting to see what happens in the next month.

Mascherin is absolutely not going anywhere, so I wouldn't even throw that out there. And they'll be VERY hesitant to put Bunnaman in any deal.

I sincerely doubt Vande Sompel is even being discussed.

I know you need to give up quality assets, to get quality players in return.

With that said, this team will not be trading Bunnaman or Mascherin - IMO, there is NO WAY they do.

These are players who are pivotal to our success, THIS year.

I could see them parting with Meireles + for Dal Colle, the value of the + depending what else is added, if anything from Oshawa.

I was about to reply to EvenSteven's posts. I think what this team needs the most is that one forward who is a game breaker. Thats what I feel we're missing against Erie.

Our depth is fantastic, but in a dog fight, its that one or two players with the extra gear, or that laser shot who win you games.

I feel Amadio is not that guy, he is more of what we already have, and TBH, a lesser version IMO, than at least MacInnis, Bracco, Robinson, and perhaps even Mascherin.

I havent had a chance to seek out potential trade bait, but Dal Colle is one of those guys, Konecney is one as well. There are a few others I'm sure.

Most rumours either come from fans wishes. Either on forums like this or at the rink. I never heard once that the Rangers were looking at Liberati. That is why you have to take most rumours with a grain of salt. Where did Mayday get his info from?

guy who works for Rogers Oshawa tweeted the talks are heating up between Dal Colle and the Rangers and then @N24Nicholson (Sports & Entertainment Editor for Toronto News 24) who's a Generals insider tweeted this. Take from it what you wish

I checked out his tweets and see nothing there!
Not calling BS on this since he may have deleted it!

I assume he looked at the contenders and who would have the assets in players and draft picks and tried to connect the dots. Then in hindsight
thought it was best to delete it.

you aren't very good at checking then..... You do make good stories though! Haha

But only 99 first round picks can be traded right?

Looking at ''insiders tweets'' there is one that has Barrie thinking of a fire sale. Even Blackwood is mentioned.

Barrie isn't very deep. They're worried with Blackwood gone at Christmas that they'll be in big trouble.

Brendan Lemieux might interest a few teams.

Still don't see where Nicholson mentions Kitchener in any of his tweets!
Maybe you can cut and paste those specific tweets?

I said a guy who works for Rogers Oshawa tweeted Dal Colle to Kitchener talks are underway, and then in the same hour Nicholson tweeted that it sounds like the trade winds are circling the Gens again

ah OK. Your original tweet made it sound that Nicholson also tweeted the same.
BTW hard to search on twitter "guy who works for Rogers Oshawa" to see what was tweeted! :)
A name would've been nice to have. ;)
