lol thanks man!Btw if you have a paid job for more than 6 months abroad you'll be freed from any military obligations. I didn't even know it .

Ah, great then. If he's a student then he shouldn't care about anything. Of course everybody understands that his studentship is kinda suspicious, but in Russia even a Florida alligator can be a student if it finds right patron...
lol thanks man!
That's where I am at.It sounds like everything will be just fine. I’m less worried about the hockey aspect of things. I would much rather have him miss a year and be able to get things right for his safety and the safety of his family.

Do highlight reels count? If only Kiril had some sort of proof of being employed in the US.
Latest news is that this was a huge nothingburger. Was never "wanted" in Russia for a fake military ID, his status as a student in Russia is clear, which will lead to an extension of his deferment, and the only reason he was turned away from entering the US is because he doesn't have a visa, which he never had even playing last year. He got a waiver to play without a visa last season due to visa delays due to the pandemic. Something supposedly many Russians/Europeans had last year - no visa, but visa waivers. So what is the latest ? Can he really miss next season ?

He's currently in Moscow getting his visa.
The chances of his playing next year? VERY HIGH. Chances of not playing? VERY LOW
Or, @Jesus Brodin would just say... 50/50![]()

Charley Walters is the biggest spreader of BS ever. SHOOTER!Craig Leipold talked to the media, said he will not relax until Kaprizov is back in Minnesota. He also said Kap is neutral, silent, and laying low.
By neutral I guess he means Kap has no opinion about what his country is doing.
Silent...I'd say he's not talking to the media, or post anything on Instagram where he's been active.
Laying low...I believe he means Kap is somewhere in the EU, not in Russia. He can't get his work visa there anyway because the US Embassy in Moscow has limited service, but he can get it in another country.
Something else to worry about, there's a chance that the US and Canada will sanction Russian athletes. But I'd still say Kaprizov will make it back here by mid August.

Charley Walters: Wild keeping wary eye on Kirill Kaprizov’s status in Russia
Minnesota Wild star Kirill Kaprizov reportedly is being retained in his native Russia while authorities there are investigating an alleged attempt to evade military service. Although reports are speculative, Wild owner Craig Leipold is naturally concerned. I asked Leipold if the Kaprizov...www.yahoo.com
