As a Jets fan, I'll just wait until he's a UFA and sign him for free

He wants to come (close) to home anyway
He does, does he? He told you that? The shit people make up on this site....hilarious. I'll make it easy for everyone, he's not being traded.

Can't say I've really seen him play over the last couple years, but I loved him coming out of the draft and am a believe more than most that kids need time to grow and develop, so seems like be willing to give up more than most to trade form him.

I'd do something like a 2nd rounder and a recent 2nd rounder/one of many "B-ish" level prospects from the Wings.

At a certain point we'll have to many young players. Even if they somehow all work out, it'd be nice to take a chance on a guy with upside who can be a couple years older than the rest of the kids

(I'm kind of picturing a Sam Bennett type of deal and career turnaround...knowing that they are different types of players)

This is 2022-2023.

He missed all of last year (He had 2pts in 2 games).

Give him a little more time maybe? I think our GM will. Kirby will finish the year in Montreal IMO.

I love how Habs fans acted like they committed highway robbery on Blackhawks when they landed him..Now want him gone
That’s not true at all - as per the norm here, you’re taking the opinions of a couple Habs posters with less than stellar takes and applying them as a whole to a large fan base.

Most Habs fans on the board were simply happy to pick up two huge forwards with talent that day, and the majority seemed to be shocked that Romanov was the value of 13th overall which was used to acquire Dach whom we saw a potential big center prospect.

Some folks are unhappy with Dach or his perceived lack of effort. Generally these are your hotheads or those frustrated with constant losing/lack of progressions and injuries. Others understand that he suffered a major injury and will take time to adjust. Opinions are divided.

Kirby is the guy with the horsecock that just hasn’t put it all together and been able to f*** properly if that makes any sense

Please tell me how a 6’4, 23 years old center who’s carrying a 3.3M cap hit on a rebuilding team is damaging the team as you just said.
He is actively hurting the team with his on ice performance, he's been one of the worst players in the entire NHL this year.

It is another tank season though, in large part due to Dach's performance, so we don't have to make a panic move yet

I love how this comment is generalized when it's not true...because one person did a thread...this site :laugh::laugh::laugh:

Lacking synchronism and execution blunders would be understandable.

But a clear lack of commitment, effort and dedication cannot be blamed on his injury.

Furthermore, there's reports claiming he arrived at preseason camp out of shape.

Add to this his terrible body language.

All this points more towards an attitude problem than some back from injury problems...

Dude has been in the pros for like 6 or 7 years, Habs fans need to come to reality... He's not the player you think you got, not does he have any value in a trade. I hoped for the best too when he was on the Hawks, but it's just not happening.

Not that I have a horse in the race here, but I think there's teams that'd be willing to bet on potential.
Reminder, at the same age as Dach, Dylan Strome scored 9 goals and was -17 for the Blackhawks and people were wondering if his career was over. Not saying that's a parallel assessment, but guys who miss a bunch of time with injury sort of get derailed. Tage Thompson at 23 had 8 goals and didn't play a half-season in the NHL.
