Maybe a change of scenery for another top pick type of deal like Turcotte? Although I think the secret is out around the league that Dach has a bum wrist…
It’s gonna be like in Bad News Bears when the girl pitcher was soaking her arm on the bench between innings with Dach.

Imagine your best evidence for Byram being the better player being, “His team is doing better”.
Byram has one of the top Corsi for in the playoffs. Of everyone in the playoffs. An excellent 61.6%. His fenwich is even higher. He’s 17 goals for vs 5 against in the playoffs. He’s a +5 in three games vs McDavid and Co. he’s averaging 20 minutes a game in the western conference finals. He gets virtually no PP time.

a legitimate reason why Byram’s team is doing better is…. Byram.

there is ample statistical evidence Byram is an outstanding young defender tracking to be a star #1 Dman. He’s absolutely on the same path and tier as Seider.

Except you didn't say same tier. You said tier above.

As a player, Byram is a tier above Drysdale and even above Sieder. When he’s playing, Byram is the best under 21 defender in the NHL.

Also hard to seriously claim that Byram is a big part of the reason Colorado is as good as they are considering they were great the entire regular season, which he played a whopping 13 games of.

He’s played every playoff game and his Avs are 11-2. He’s a big part of this. Seider would get similar useage in colorado. He’d be 2nd pair.

same tier. I’ll correct that part. They are “talent and promise” NHL peers. Powers is probably the only young defender on the same level. Byram is a level above a Drysdale, Bouchard or Schneider.

Byram has shown far more potential as a high end player. He’s never looked bad on the ice as Dach did this last year. Byram is only held back by his concussion concerns, which are valid. As a player, Byram is a tier above Drysdale and even above Sieder. When he’s playing, Byram is the best under 21 defender in the NHL. Very much looks like he’ll be an elite top pair player. A true #1.
Don't know how I missed this.... Thank you for the good laugh to start my Monday morning and week.

McTavish can start as a goal scoring winger. He's going to start at winger most likely regardless just like Zegras did.
I actually doubt this. Last year they sent him back specifically because they wanted him to play center rather than play wing for the Ducks.

To develop there yes. He has a year of it now. If we kept him at wing last season he wouldn't have had this whole year to develop as a center during his D+1. I was drunk when I made the trade offer the 10 is too much but I'd be interested in Dach depending on the cost haha. We'll see what the Beeks plan is with McTavish.

Still has value based on where he was drafted, and just the size/position of the young man.
Being real, I'd love to see what Coach Sutter could get out of this kid given the chance.

Where is 'still has value' coming from? That's not even a question.
Still has 'top 5 pick value' is the real question.

Read the OP and the quality it will take for CHI even listen.

No reason to jettison the kid now unless it’s completely not working and he needs a a fresh start elsewhere to get away from the 3OA pick thing.
Never understood why the Hawks had him in the nhl at 18.

A team that wants Dach should just wait for his value sinks lower and get him at a discounted rate.
