Can't see the Blackhawks getting anything close to Debrusk AND Carlo for Dach. 150 games with very little signs of improvement. The Hawks willing to trade a 21 year old center? his value is probably not as high as the OP thinks.

It seems at the moment like Kirby's brother is 'better' than he is. I think the Hawks are looking to see if he can turn it around some next year with a real coach, plan, etc. in place. Too early to give up on him yet.

It'd be stupid to trade him. He's still young and has potential.

I don't know if his wrist will ever fully heal, but I do know that he had that thing wrapped up all of last season. I'd much rather take the chance on it healing fully in time and him excelling under an actual NHL coach over giving him up for various garbage offers.

I've heard about 2 pretty weak proposals being floated by some sports writer (forget who)
1) BOS sends DeBrusk and Carlo to CHI for Dach. Why on earth would a team in a complete rebuild mode trade a 21 yr old who still has superb potential, at least a excellent #2 Center (possibly a 1) for 2 average 25 year old players. ANY trade for Dach WILL have a #1 pick involved (probably in the top 15)
2) MON sends pick #29 and Jeff Petry 35 yrs old) that one is so laughable I'll just leave it alone.

In this draft I'd offer a top 10 pick for Dach, for example PHI #5.

these proposals are absurd.

Dach is a high risk to both in a trade. Nobody would give up a top 10 pick fir him. There is too much. Risk to the trading team.

summer 2023 I see a change of scentry by two similar players with their teams.

Imo Chicago would decline that. Also that’s not a good comparison Dach/Laf were drafted 2 picks apart.

You want me to provide a million examples of players drafted two picks apart that are not close in value?

Or do you want to stop making excuses to divert from the point that Lafreniere is worth more than Dach?

Dach is a bust.

Doesn’t help him much that Seider was drafted after him.

I said all along Kirby Dach was the second coming of Adam Creighton and he’s not even that good.

He’s had a bum wrist for going on two years now. It was a reach as a draft pick and it’s to the point the third line player he is is all he will be.

Will gladly take that Laff propsal

What has laf done to show he holds more value. One mediocre playoff run doesn’t take away from his regular season production

Lafreniere had a very good second half of the season. His even strength production per 60 was excellent all season, better than Stutzle as an example.

29 points in 12:46 EV TOI a game primarily on the third line.

He had almost no power play opportunity.

The bust trend narrative here is being squashed in the playoffs, and it didn’t hold up before then either.

get real and be happy you're getting Wright.
I doubt the Habs make such an offer. YEAH RIGHT
Dach isn’t much of a prospect anymore. You’re really overvaluing the lack of big time potential he’s never shown and probably never will. Blackhawks hold him and he has another season like this past one and he’s now Lias Anderson getting traded for the 63rd overall pick in 2023.

How has he not ever shown "big time" potential? He looked electric when Chicago knocked out Edmonton in the bubble round and last year he missed most of the season due to injury. Its really no different from where your Byram sits right now

How close is Rangers trade Lundkvist and Kravtsov for Dach?
I don't think Hawks are interested but this doesn't really fit what NYR are trying to do right now. We're not good on faceoffs and need a 2C, unless you see Chytil being taken away from the kid like and successfully handle the 2c spot, in which case Dach would be able to play 3c or move to wing. And right now we have too many wingers.

Byram has shown far more potential as a high end player. He’s never looked bad on the ice as Dach did this last year. Byram is only held back by his concussion concerns, which are valid. As a player, Byram is a tier above Drysdale and even above Sieder. When he’s playing, Byram is the best under 21 defender in the NHL. Very much looks like he’ll be an elite top pair player. A true #1.
