I've heard about 2 pretty weak proposals being floated by some sports writer (forget who)
1) BOS sends DeBrusk and Carlo to CHI for Dach. Why on earth would a team in a complete rebuild mode trade a 21 yr old who still has superb potential, at least a excellent #2 Center (possibly a 1) for 2 average 25 year old players. ANY trade for Dach WILL have a #1 pick involved (probably in the top 15)
2) MON sends pick #29 and Jeff Petry 35 yrs old) that one is so laughable I'll just leave it alone.

In this draft I'd offer a top 10 pick for Dach, for example PHI #5.

Chicago would also likely rather take their chance on Dach and sooner sell Strome and Toews. Dach lost a lot of development time to injuries but has all the tools to be elite still

Trading Dach would be pretty dumb unless the org thinks he will bust (they don't think that) and find a team that believes enough in his potential to overpay. The Hawks have a lot of needs, C is one of them.

The Rangers would be crazy to trade Lafrenière(unless for an overpayment), he is slowly coming into his own.

Dach is a player that Chicago will not trade unless they are blown away. His frame and skill will make him a force if/when he puts it all together. He could be really good as soon as next year but even then if I were Hawks management I would hold on to him for at least 3-4 more years to see his development.

What exactly has Dach done to warrant top 10 pick value? Its basically the same situation as Kotkaniemi last season except Dach isn't vulnerable to an offer sheet.

If he's traded (and Chicago should not trade him), it'll be for more than a 1st and 3rd equivalent, but he's not going to return top-5 pick in the draft.

Chicago isn't trading Dach anyways, especially if the rumours of Strome not being qualified are true.
