That's not true. If you're first line is the one drawing the penalty. There is a good chance the 2nd unit starts.
Oh your so good at finding edge cases, pat on the back.
The same solution applies then!

That... and officials has to identify a winner, which is often the guy coming with the reputation when it's a draw...I feel with faceoffs it's mostly just experience, you've got to take a lot of them and like you said, this year is good practice because the stakes aren't as high.
That goes pretty much for every player...we can stop halting development for the purpose of "winning" or because they don't want to sabotage their playoff hopes.
This is the year for trials and tribulations IMO.
I haven't heard/read anything about arbitration yet. My guess is HuGo has a Lou type agreement with Dach.Is this going to go to arbitration? If so, when is his arbitration date?
He doesn't have arbitration rights, needs one more year.Is this going to go to arbitration? If so, when is his arbitration date?

It's not really an emergency and it will get done.Curious as to why the contract has not been done yet now.
I guess so. But at the end of the day, every other team knows we will be over the cap after we sign Dach and we might be forced into a 21 or 22 man roster to get under the cap to start the season.

A lot of players are in the same situation in the league. Not really something to worry about.Didn't say it was an emergency but I also don't see the reason to hold off on it either.
There are only a privileged few of us that already know this, give the others time, they will learn. You'll learn soon enough that I'm a mofo genius.

You do know that none of us here work in the Canadiens front office to give you an actual answer right? What a dumb overreaction from your part. Not worried about it either. I'm Curious. Stop assuming things like emergency and being worried.

Never seen someone get so worked over absolutely nothing. Good day to you sir.You do know that you are a fan on a chat forum talking about hockey right? What a dumb post on your part. If you don't like to chit chat about it, you're in the wrong place bud.
"Emergency" or being "Worried". That is your comprehension which is false. It's on you, not me. I can't control your lack of comprehension, nor will I be held responsible for it.
Hughes probably doesn't want to go over the cap as it will be tougher to shed salary at that point.Curious as to why the contract has not been done yet now.
Yup, it lessens any leverage he has in any potential deal.Hughes probably doesn't want to go over the cap as it will be tougher to shed salary at that point.
Of course you prefer to win the faceoff and yes they are important faceoff and that’s why I want a 4 C that is really good in that department, same for my shutdown C. So you can use him on those important situation. The right strategy is to have someone on his line that is decent at faceoffs. If you have Dach on the PP and it's a offensive zone faceoff, you want to win it and maintain puck possession vs having the puck thrown down the ice and you just list 10-20 seconds of a 2 min PP.
I think some of you are underselling the important of faceoffs. Loosing a draw in the D zone can create a goal against... especially against a good puck possession team like the Leafs.
In a tank/rebuilding season? Not as critical cause we are not thinking playoffs.
No rush to get the deal done...I imagine alot of players and agents are just wrapping up their vacation.Curious as to why the contract has not been done yet now.

Yeah, worked fine waiting with kk...Didn't say it was an emergency but I also don't see the reason to hold off on it either.
That works well for defensive zone face offs. But unless you want your shutdown/4th C taking vital offensive zone face offs. Then skating off the ice for a line change. Your hope is that all of your centers are decent on the draw.Of course you prefer to win the faceoff and yes they are important faceoff and that’s why I want a 4 C that is really good in that department, same for my shutdown C. This is probable, but can you imagine if a team came in with a 1 x 4M offer sheet (2nd round compensation), this would put the Habs over a barrel.I haven't heard/read anything about arbitration yet. My guess is HuGo has a Lou type agreement with Dach.
It did. We got rid of a bust while getting compensated for it. I wish i would get something for getting rid of trash like that.Yeah, worked fine waiting with kk...
