Then dach is is a 4th line centre
You just compared Dvorak to Danualt
Guess what dach isn’t better than either

Our centres after Suzuki are so weak it’s scary
Hoping we bottom out and get to draft one next summer or we get Dubois next summer
Im so not sold on dach and no one should be
Yes.
The center Habs might draft next summer should be better than Wright. But Dubois would be a good option because centers like him are so hard to get. Even if he's a deception some games, he's at least equal to what Koivu was bringing or Plekanec and Dubois would be a second center anyway.

HuGo seemed so hell-bent at acquiring this guy, yet he's still unsigned. What gives? Not very fond of this trade. He certainly wasn't worth a first and third. A typical bergevesque move is how I like to describe it, going after reclaimation projects and hoping for the best. But this one was costly.
He hasn't missed a single game, nor has he missed any of trading camp.

You don't have to like the trade, but your complaints really make it look like you're grasping at straws just to find a reason to be upset.

I’ll let it play out and see what happens
Very low expectations for dach but In all honesty if Bergevin woulda traded the 13th overall and a 3rd for dach, this board woulda crashed
Dach numbers and stats are concerning, or scary to say at least. Habs fans have to trust HuGo and Gorton for that move. We must beleive they know what they are doing, they must know his real value and his developpment potential. Otherwise it would be a disaster trade.

How did i compare Dvorak to Danault? People were talking about Danault and what he was bringing. I just showed their faceoffs stats, it is comparing?

2. No one will tell me which player i should like or not. Always liked Dach from his draft season.

I was happy to see Bergevin trade picks, it's not like Timmy made good use of them

I like Jake evans Same stats
Until proven different he’s no better
And dach like kotkaniemi was the wrong pick for Chicago especially with Seider amd Zegras behind him
but at the moment not many of us believe he was worth the package given up
Maybe you’ll be right or maybe not
This next year will tell us a lot
Kotkaniemi was the wrong pick at this point (I was a major supporter) because he's seemingly incapable of improving on his weaknesses and can't even deliver much on his strengths Dach's excuses are at least mostly injury related and out of his control.

So dach not being productive are all injury related? Bold comment
Then we should fill expect him to crack 50 pts This year if healthy
I won't speak for everyone else, but based on my viewings and expectations of Dach, then 45ish-55ish uninjured points is realistic if Montreal gives him top 6 offensive opportunities.

He had a great rookie season and playoffs. Then had his wrist injured, put up 10 points in 18 games in a covid year, got rushed. Got bounced around constantly between center and wing, no stability. Chicago was a shit show this year.

Make that top 6ish. He needs to earn it. :sarcasm:

Scott Wheeler in the Athletic revisited the 2019 draft rankings and wrote this about Dach

11. Arizona Coyotes: C Kirby Dach
Actual draft pick: No. 3 (change: -8) to Chicago
My final ranking: No. 8 (change: -3)

We’ve all seen the flash in Dach. The ability, in spurts, to make a play happen through the middle of the ice, with that big frame of his, that makes you go “huh, so that’s why they picked him third.” Three years later, a defence of the Dach pick would also posit that he’s third in the draft class in scoring thus far behind Hughes and Zegras with 59 points (one more than Kakko in five fewer games). But there has been too much space between those moments, where he just looks ordinary. He’ll get every opportunity to change that in Montreal, and maybe he’ll run with it and become the 2C behind Suzuki now that they passed on Shane Wright for Juraj Slafkovsky. It’s certainly not going to be Christian Dvorak or Jake Evans long term. But I’m not convinced. I don’t see what that next gear looks like for him. He’s big, and he moves fairly well, and he’s got the touch to make those plays, but I often find myself watching him and wonder where that single, defining quality is that will carry him. I felt that way in his draft year and I feel that way now. He’s going to be a good middle-six player, I’d wager. I’d be surprised if he really runs with the baton in Montreal, though.”

Not super promising

Scott Wheeler is not as big of a tool as Pronman but he is far from an expert of any sort.

He has the size and skill, a change of scenery will make a difference. Another young player rushed when he wasn't ready
Chicago, the city included, is an absolute shit show. It’s 3rd world at best. Their franchise is a losing prospect unless you happen to belong to profit sharing league…
