Happy to see Dach turning the corner and getting his confidence and game back. He was too good two seasons ago to not get it back.
Remind me of Louis Domingue 2 years ago when he said ‘’lâcher moi avec Dach! Harvey-Pinard est celui qui doit jouer sur le premier trio’’.How much of Dach's improved goal scoring is due to opposing teams being afraid of Dach passing to Laine?
I had a poster tell me that Harvey-Pinard had shown more NHL merit than Dach.
Another, or might have been the same one, said Dach didn't deserve to be drafted 3rd overall, that he was some huge reach.
I remember he was mostly scoring in tight before if. I’m not mistakenA lot of his goals are coming from going to the front of the net. I don't remember him doing this as much before the injury. Someone correct me if I am wrong about this. It's nice to see him adding that to his game. This is something Slaf needs to do again.

Everytime Dach has done well, his teammates have comforted him physically. He must have been going through some bad vibesThe hugs per 60 are off the charts , the one with Lane last night was really cute , some big brother/ little brother love , complete opposite of the one with Slaf where he had both hands cupped under , pure adultery , can't blame him
Sure. It’s hard to gauge sometimes if people are reacting to trolly hot takes or having a good old emotional debate about kids who skate after a bit of rubber in good fun…This really wasn't what the contingent of negative nancys were saying though. Yes, there was the "he shouldn't be on the second line" phrases thrown out there, but that wasn't the main part of the debate.
The issue is that this thread, and board were hijacked by a fairly vocal group of posters incessantly calling him a bum, saying he wouldn't get claimed on waivers, re-wrote history, said all his points were mooched, that the Hawks saw that he sucked this bad and that's why they moved him.
It was so hyperbolic. If the discussion was, "Hey, Kirby is playing shit, and doesn't look in nhl game shape just yet, maybe 2nd line is too much." Sure, that is an actual discussion. But this is not what it was.
So much about wasted picks, propping up Romanov, over-exaggerating the awfulness of the move, the bad pro-scouting, no team would want him.
Just immature debating. And as always, these folks just go f***ing silent after spamming the thread, GDTs every day with the same nonsense.

I definitely remember him being very effective in tight in 2022-2023.A lot of his goals are coming from going to the front of the net. I don't remember him doing this as much before the injury. Did he do this at the NHL level before injury? I don't remember this as something he did before.agreed
in Stoon with the blades he loved to go to the net.
that is is game
On 1st G of the game giving Habs 3-2 lead, what I found most impressive was the fact he drove to the net without any hesitation - that’s the player he was evolving into pre injury. How much of Dach's improved goal scoring is due to opposing teams being afraid of Dach passing to Laine?

When he was a winger or center?I definitely remember him being very effective in tight in 2022-2023.
good point... not sureDid he do this at the NHL level before injury? I don't remember this as something he did before.
Was it something he did often though?I definitely remember him being very effective in tight in 2022-2023.
Both. He often attacjed the net. When he was a winger or center?
Thats why he was so awesome that year. He was so physical, fearless. I was always scared he would get hurt because he played so reckless. He was imposing.Fair enough.
Hi HFHabs family,
I remember him being effective on the boards, which is why I liked him as a winger more than a C. If he keeps playing like this, I will like his toolset more. He still needs to improve his faceoff abilities, though. At least get out of the 30s.Thats why he was so awesome that year. He was so physical, fearless. That same year when he had success, he'd carry the puck right down the middle of the ice, through the neutral zone and aggressively challenge two defenders at a time to break through in the ozone. He did it repeatedly.I remember him being effective on the boards, which is why I liked him as a winger more than a C. If he keeps playing like this, I will like his toolset more. You could tell from his body language he was going through it. He needs this locker room to get him through tough times. It's been a rough time for Dach. Missed basically all of last year when he really looked good in preseason and then he comes into this season and struggles in the first half.
Just goes to show that you don't stop trying and keep your energy level up. It pays off over time and I bet you the players and coach support each other.

Dach has a swagger that we havent seen much this year. The talent is there. I really hope he reaches it because he's such a pest.
