According to NHL Edge, they are practically identical in terms of top speed and speed bursts above 20mph. Suzy holds a slight edge there.
It depends who you look at NHL 25 player ratings have Suzuki's acceleration at 93 and to Dach at 87 and top speed at 91 for Suzuki and 87 for Dach.
I'm simply pointing out Dach doesn't have the change of pace Suzuki currently possesses which has been obvious.

It's probably the last thing to come back for a player returning from knee surgery.
The bursts are one thing but the time it takes to reach top speed is the most important factor in hockey.

Hopefully Dach's game should improve as he starts getting that first step back.

It's one thing to suck ass because you missed a whole year but there's no excuse to constantly take stupid costly penalties.

Even as a Dach detractor, remove that penalty and I think it's another game of some slight improvements. I found he was moving better and notably engaged.

Newhook can really move his feet. It improves the line. Heck Newhook might even get an assist touching a puck that Laine puts in. Sky is the limit.

This is insane because we got a bunch of really bad hockey players. But…right now I’m starting to think Kirby is the worst player in the league.

That +/- stat is not lying. A miracle needs to happen soon because he doesn’t belong in the NHL right now.
