His skating and puck handling both look back. I think it's a matter of time before the production follows, especially once Laine is back.
I keep bringing up his starts and stops which are so much better and crucial for a center iceman.
I'd say he's probably gained a half step. I'm not sure if he can gain more but he's now in a position where he can find a game with what he has.
That is night and day from where he started.

If he can play like this over a full season then his ceiling is the guy in my profile pic. Ridiculous how much his compete level has made a 0-100 over the past 7 games. Physical, plays for his teammates, fire in his eyes, even some crazy dangles, goalscoring, etc. Keep it up (enormous if) and he's our #1B center.

Dach Vader!

Seriously though, i was one of those who thought he simply needed more time - and i still do; his play definitely has some kinks still but it's great to see some compete out of him now.

I suspect Slaf will begin to pick up too. I wouldnt mind seeing him with Dach actually. I remember Dach was the first to show some chemistry with him before hte injury. I love the idea of those two big fellas being on a line. Laine is also huge but far less physical.
