Ok Nevermind… Mr.Glass it is

So who do we want? Eiserman, or Celebrini?
Wiseman
Based on Saturday night's game between the US NTDP and Boston University, it's Eiserman. He had 3 goals and 2 assists in a 8-2 NTDP victory. Celebrini only got on the score sheet with a 2 minute penalty.

I know how a few folks around here like to make judgements based on a single game. :sarcasm:
Eiserman is on Pace for 104 goals and 10 assist. I would draft him just for that stat line lol

I mean its HARD to have 104 goals and only 10 assists jajajajaja.

No one is giving up on him, but to brush this aside as a freak injury when it keeps happening every year is misguided. It’s very clearly an issue at this point.

they knew their player was going to check Dach over the boards a year in advance? wow!
Dach has missed 25% of all games in his NHL career (according to a post from earlier). Freak injuries happen for sure, nobody can claim to say otherwise, but... Dach's troubles with his wrist already cost him a lot of time and led directly to his trade away. Who knows what's in his file anyway. I don't believe there is a "gets freak injuries" trait in people but maybe Chicago felt he wasn't sturdy enough for his size?

He was made of glass when they traded him. How's Frank Nazar doing anyway? PPG in the NCAA, hmm.
LMAO yeah because it's not like Nazar didn't miss time with a 'significant injury' last year... not in NHL but in the much tougher NCAA.

'HmMmMm'

But since right now today, it's Dach banged up, the sky is falling, everyone sucks, and everyone else we could of had is the second coming of the second coming! Woo!

Guess we got hosed on the deal, as good as he looks. He’s very clearly injury prone.
I guess Hawks knew something we clearly didn't...
Meh, I don't think we can conclude that yet (nor do I think Chicago had any kind of advanced knowledge of his injury likelihood).

Last year was some bizarre leg infection thing, and the other two major injuries he's had (including this current one) came from obvious big hits. It's a lot less concerning to me when a guy gets hurt off a big violent hit than when it's non-contact injuries or injuries that happen on routine-looking plays. I don't think Kirby Dach is really uniquely susceptible to "runs into a guy in the neutral zone and has his wrist absorb the impact" or "gets checked into the bench and gets hurt" injuries. So far the specifics on his injuries have been closer to Markov than someone like Monahan IMO.

He was made of glass when they traded him. How's Frank Nazar doing anyway? PPG in the NCAA, hmm.
Lmao I see you're having a lot of fun with this. Glad to see that your fearmongering about his wrist has been vindicated by a completely unrelated lower-body injury a year and a half later.

Yeah, and some Habs fans were sneering and celebrating the 'steal' of a trade. I'm not sure if karma exists or not but I wouldn't sneer about "winning" any trade. Nazar seems to be fully recovered now and I'm sure Chicago fans are relieved to know he's continuing his growth as a prospect.

Let's hope Dach recovers speedily and completely.

Okay - why do you feel the need to return the favour once Dach gets injured?

The guy was healthy when? How many of those freak injuries will he have? How come Suzuki doesn't have freak injuries? How come others have them? Are they not subject to hits?

Freak injury...the guy hurt himself playing tough hockey. Not by receiving a plane on the head...

Well, at the time of the trade I was concerned about the acquisition of an oft-injured player who was being cut loose by his tanking team. ReHabs is fearmongering! Hater! Since then I have consistently praised said player anywho. I simply disagree with the sneering smug toxic optimist crowd and still do. Posting pointed criticism at those who sneered about the trade, about poor Frank Nazar, and trashed those of us who posted concern is timely.

If not now, then when Joel -- tell me that.

I wish nothing but the best for Dach and his recovery. I hope it is a 6-8 week sort of injury and not a season-ending massive one. He's a promising Habs player and one I consider to be a 'core' asset. On a personal level I hope his mood is good and spirits are high.

Dach's injury gives the pessimists the opportunity to dunk on the optimists of this board. f***ing sad sack of a fanbase sometimes.

They're both different sides of the same coin, Neo. They deserve the other side dunking on them when the opportunity arises.
