There's probably a lot of swelling which made the X ray impossible to read, so they're taking an MRI.

Hopefully nothing broken.

But yeah, when day 1 has no updates it usually means mid term-long term.

You actually almost want something broken lol, as fractures can take 1 month, bones can take 4-8 weeks to heal
But tendons and muscles can be 4-5 months ffs..

Yeah, bones are easy to fix, tendons is long term and the risk for more injuries including the hips.

Where’s this coming from? I haven’t seen any release from the Habs

It's just speculation. From having personally gone through serious knee injuries + having followed hockey for a couple of decades.
After having gone through my ACL reconstruction (from hockey injury), hurt that knee again w freak accident, and same surgeon after reviewing MRI said I’d need another reconstruction, after going under for the procedure, when I woke up he said the ACL wasn’t fully torn, but in good shape, and I simply needed scar tissue sucked out….

I’m no professional athlete but its too premature to judge ..

It's too premature to judge wether he had an MRI or not? I don't understand your point.

A specialized Dr told me I’d need a second ACL reconstruction based on MRI, but when he actually went in and looked at the knee with his scope it wasn’t the case at all.

It’s too early to judge mid - long term length of time Dach will be out

Guess we got hosed on the deal, as good as he looks. He’s very clearly injury prone. Maybe that changes, but it’s not good at this point.

Oh ok.

That usually isn't what happens though. That's an exception not the rule, specially in sports. I think it happened to Patches once where he had a knee intervention during the summer and it only ended being minor because the initial diagnostic was wrong.

That said, as I explained in the post where I replied to you, it is only speculation based on my personal experience of having completely blown off a knee and also following sports for a long time, where usually when there are no updates in the first few hours, it means the player will miss considerable time. (mid/long term)

Significant injury, huh? 6-8 weeks or 6-8 months? Knowing the Habs, it'll be like @Lshap says: day to day for 25 weeks.
