What, you didn’t enjoy the glorious years of Craig Darby as number 1C because Saku was injured?? And having nothing in the pipeline coming up??
let's not sell that era short; we had a bright future ahead (albeit, way, way, way, far ahead) with rising stars like Sylvain Blouin, Brad Brown, and David Wilkie. Those guys were definitely ones to watch. Ah, memories. o_O

If there ever a prospect that was flat out ruined it was David Wilkie. Mario Tremblay had a promising young puck moving Dman and he mishandled him. I met David Wilkie at a Habs game in DC. He was a healthy scratch and we spoke for about 20 minutes. He wasn't making excuses but you could tell he was struggling with the way things were working out for him. I felt bad for him.

He was a terrible skater.....just a bad draft pick.

Maybe it’s the new management who wants to give the right information instead of answering as fast as possible ?

Yup… Alfie Turcotte, Alain Heroux, José Charbonneau, Mark Pederson, Éric Charron, Brent Bilodeau, Lindsay Vallis, Brad Brown, Turner Stevenson, Terry Ryan, Matt Higgins, Jason Ward ….. all future HOFers ruined by poor development…

Woe is me

Hopefully it’s just a minor strain of some sort. He was able to put weight on it if that means anything. Probably doesn’t but better than being carried off completely

I see the sarcasm and I will say most of these picks were brutal. If you watched Wilkie in his first call up where he played I think 24 games, he showed serious promise. The following year he started off strong and Tremblay totally mishandled him. This is one prospect that should have panned out.

They've never answered as fast as possible...he needs an MRI, they have to wait for that to happen and then get the results, before they can provide an update.

Expect to hear something today or perhaps tomorrow AM.

The reality is Wilke did nothing in TBay or later on w NYR, he was simply another of those poor WHL Habs picks…

Development BS is revisionist history at its best, Markus Naslund was a high Pens pick but according to myth the Pens poor development should’ve ruined him vs prospering to elite player in Van ditto MSL etc

Now if development means fine tuning a players existing abilities (extra 1/10 of second) while waiting for the asset to physically / emotionally mature that’s another matter, but development gets thrown around as some type of panacea as if every player could be “developed” into McDavid
