Well, I can assure you lol,
38 points to 50 points is most definitely not a "step back"
But a 55-60 point season is certainly not out of the realm of possibility either
What you laughing at?

He had 38 points in 58 games, that's .655 per game. Had he played the whole season at that pace it would be 53 points. I guess you don't have much confidence in him to be able to improve his game. I suspect he will and last season he was not at his best for stretches.

This kid is gonna have a year......................gotta stay healthy.
He was talking up MSL recently and the great vibe from this group last year.....and going into this year.

It seemed like they see him going back on the wing which is weird. They didn't talk about his play at C starting in mid Dec.
Kirby didn't bother correcting tem.
You're reading too much into a podcast interview.

It's not that deep.

Dach will play C
Dach will play W

Injuries, lineup adjustments, hot streaks, cold streaks, etc...lineups never stay the same.

Appreciate he can do both.

Still not sold on Kirby tbh. I think he’s already exceeded my expectations, but I think if he’s your 2C, then you are not a serious contender. We will see if he continues to improve. I feel his shot/goal scoring threat will always limit his upside.

I hope he continues to improve and last year wasnt just an aberration, we shall see. He’s proven me wrong to this point and he likely will will again. I need to see some more Kirby.

It could but it would be crazy to bet against that size skill skating combo. Still he scored 14 goals in less than 60 games.

Apparently he’s been really working on his shot. He ain’t there yet but there’s still time and he took big steps last year. He’s only 22. Seriously doubt he’s capping out here

I was sceptical too but it’s pretty clear there’s a damn good player there. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think he can rival Suzuki. He’ll definitely bring different elements which means they’ll complement each other well.

He’s got elite skill, but that shot and the desire to pass on shots I dunno. I don’t think he’s necessarily peaked. 15g, 45a is sort of where I expect him to be. I don’t think he will catch or pass Nick.

There is no question he has 1st line potential. The questions are - will he reach his potential and stay relatively healthy.
