You cannot deny that the volume of long term injuries that team has had has had a negative effect in the standings. But, you can also say what you are saying with respect to the way they are playing. Both can be true at the same time.

This is why I stated they don’t need scoring. They need leadership and they have to score without playing pond hockey.

Richmond should be the right coach for that team when you look at its deficiencies. He should be able to coach that out of them. His specialty is defence. He is capable of coaching defence and responsibility into their game. With a healthy team and excess bodies, he can properly punish players as well. It is tough to sit guys out when they aren’t’ following the program when five guys are already out of the lineup.

We disagree about Leskovar. I believe (assuming he is going to return soon) that he proved that scary D-Man they need and he is their leader. I liken him to Spearing. However, I don’t disagree that they could do better with that OA slot. Depending on the player they could acquire, maybe it makes sense. Would it make sense when they bring in K.Smith to delete Leskovar instead of Lefebvre? Maybe replace both Leskovar and Lefebvre? Possible.

I agree Luchanko is the prize for them if they acquire a forward but they don’t have an ‘08. I don’t think they can make that move. I don’t think they have the right pieces to do it. But, if Parker Vaughn and Brady smith are in fact refusing to waive their NT clauses, that lessens the number of potential ‘08s which shrinks the market and makes a Luchanko to Brampton more viable.
I'm told Brampton had a deal in place to land Konnor Smith but it was voided due to someone on the Brampton end not waiving NTC apparently. Not sure if they have been able to restructure it.

Konnor smith for Brampton almost makes too much sense

If they don’t get him- any idea who may?

If Kingston can get Gibson, Allard, and Mignosa for Hopkins and picks then it is a no brainer…. LOL

But, GLWT1.

gibson will come down to oshawa, flint and sudbury i believe. oshawa believes they have it locked in

Sounds like Smith won’t go though. That means for the deal to work, it would need to be only Gibson going to Oshawa with griffin being the centrepiece. That is the only way I can see a deal like that worked out if Smith refuses to move.

Flint is an interesting location. I wasn’t sure f they were going to attempt to make a run.

Sounds like Kitchener is also trying to make a run at the big names. That takes Andonovski off the table. Leaves Gibson alone. Mews may join in on the action but he’s a different type of player than Gibson so I cannot see him affecting the market for Gibson.

Don't exclude the Gold & Black for Gibson et al, it cannot be more evident this is the first move of 3 or 4 that need to be addressed - If the Fronts don't execute on that trade, start parting out the valuable 2005 assets.

Make sure your phone is turned on today GM KC.

Have you heard that Kitchener is adding?!?! This is news to me

I think Kitchener is trying to add. The important part of that is not so much that they are trying to add or will end up adding but it means they are not likely to sell which takes Andonovski, Parsons, and Miseljevic off the table so it shrinks the market and potentially makes it tighter on Gibson.

Also important to note that if Kitchener is trying to add, as well as Flint and Sudbury, it adds three ‘08s to the market (Blonda, Headrick, and Zurawski). How negatively does this affect Kingston?

kingston doesnt have an 08, so they are very not in it. how can they compete with teams that offer 08s? i know someone said it was not a mistake, but taking malholta was a massive mistake. they take another 08 that signs, they are right in there with gibson today.

The combination of that and not moving Ludwinski last year is killing them.

Once and IF Parker Vaughn is move Kingston thinks it will be easier to make a move.
They will be in tough if Barrie waits until the last day though....

There is not major interest in Challenger and based on his season there shouldn't be. -He's on the same level as Buttar who hasn't looked great.

It sounds like Oshawa made a deal to move Smith already so he's likely off the market too.
Malhotra would just be another guy that Kingston wouldn't talk trades about if he was there.
If Kingston does anything it will have to be an 07 they move at this point.

Other than Hopkins I can't imagine any of the 07s having much value other than Dervin - and I can't imagine they'd have signed him, played him for a handful of games just to turn around and move him within a month.

Unless maybe OHL GMs really like Velliaris' potential?

If what has been stated is accurate, then potentially Flint has made Zurawski available as well as Sudbury making Blonda available. That is in addition to the potential that Brantford makes O’Donnell available. Also hearing Kitchener is making Headrick available. That is potentially three additional ‘08s we didn’t see on the market as of last week.

Hopkins is a non starter.
They have 07's they would move though. -i'm not saying there is many with value.
Drafting last 2 years hasn't done this team any favors.

Blonda will not be traded.

We have the big piece: Musty

You’d essentially move Musty out to acquire the ‘08 and then move the ‘08 to replace Musty. That’s fine if the issue is you HAVE TO trade Musty and still want to contend but that still doesn’t address the addition. You’d still need to add using picks if you don’t move Blonda.

wier and velaris have no value compared to some of the 08s mentioned. if kingston drafted blonda, as an example, i bet they could get gibson.

I agree. But at the same time think people way overvalue Challenger.

ok? not sure what that has to do with kingston not being able to trade an 08 thou.

if they drafted someone other then malholta, they are in a better spot.

erie isnt doing anything other then small moves, so their 08 not being valued isnt as big of a deal

You’re making the assumption Musty gets traded.
