Those aren't neccesarily passes, more times than not he is getting rid of the puck so he doesn't get hit
He is notorious for holding the puck too long and getting pushed off due to his size.Polarizing player apparently. Others say he never looks to pass.
Or he skates around and around and around until he's dizzyHe is notorious for holding the puck too long and getting pushed off due to his size.
He drives the net a lot and uses his speed but usually has a hard time getting close enough to make anything happen.
You can also look at Logan Morrison. I think it is gong to be interesting to see who makes the Kraken full time him or Wright.
Morrison is 6th in the league in +- and only 3 pts behind.
The trading for overagers and keeping ludwinski with the way the team has played all year would be grounds for firing the gm on most teams. I just don’t see what they end goal was? At best this team was going to be able to win 1 round, so they mismanaged all these assets to MAYBE win a round. Add in failing to get a backup goalie which resulted in burning out the starter, this was clear to everyone that it needed to be fixed early in the season.
Wanting to trade and actually being able to make a trade that works are not the same thing. And isn't the GM supposed to be a goalie guy? You would think him, of all guys in that front office, he would see the need for a reliable backup

I mean I understand not being able to find a stud goalie. But surely you can find a guy who can backup on occasion. It’s like they thought they could just ignore the problem and eventually it would just solve itself.Wanting to trade and actually being able to make a trade that works are not the same thing.
or notThat’s a good trait for an undersized 18 yr old imo. A year from now and/or in his OA season, he might routinely drive past 16–18 yr olds.

Donoso would have been able to start and add a lot of experience to the team. The question, though, that I think is missed is not just who teams had avail but whether the kids wanted to go to. KingstonCompletely fair. But, when you look at the needs of this team, and what was out there, hard to imagine that there couldn't have been a trade made for something. Not that I think Donoso would've been the answer because I don't think he's as good as people think, but he could have at least started more than the 5 games Salajko has.
It’s the opposite actually. Cooper played 60+ games more than once. Might see himself in vaccari a bitAnd isn't the GM supposed to be a goalie guy? You would think him, of all guys in that front office, he would see the need for a reliable backup
Sure the team isn’t in the gta but kingston is probably one of the best cities in the ohl for location wise. Between Toronto and Ottawa. You don’t think a former ahl head coach would bring in players? Not to mention a talented young roster. I think they absolutely could bring in people- maybe not like London but better than most teams.Donoso would have been able to start and add a lot of experience to the team. With everything so tight I am not sure that there were a lot of viable options.
It has to be the hardest job of a GM in trying to get the right deal for players.
Killer used to say that people what you want and what you pay is never the same thing.
He used to make deals because people knew that they were relatively fair.
Not sure the Cooper has that gravitas yet. Nor is the team a go-to location for players.
Itis going to be interesting to see what happens at the draft.
Has anyone followed the goalies that the Fronts drafted and turned away in favour of Salajko
I think Beast was eluding to organizations, agents and families not wanting their kids to go to Kingston the last couple years under Caputi.Sure the team isn’t in the gta but kingston is probably one of the best cities in the ohl for location wise. still I think fronts target the best available d man unless all the quality ones are gone and there’s a big drop off- in that case u think they go with the best available player and maybe talk to them about how they’d feel about a trade midway through the year. Let’s face it- no drafted forward this coming draft is playing more than 4th line minutes at most next season.I’m sure players in that case would rather go to a. Team where they can play and have more of an opportunity. Look at Aiden young in Saginaw. Never was given much of a chance with the depth they have- now he is a producing at a higher ppg rate then before.
There’s no real good goalies in the system. Which is why I believe they may go the import goalie route(not to mention in the last 3 drafts they’ve picked a goalie 2/3 of them for a strong 1a 1b tandem barring some big changes with Salajko

I think what really stood out on 2 of the goals was probably why McNamara hasn't been drafted yet, and likely won't be anything before the 7th round. He's got decent skills but his hockey IQ is not strong. His plays away from the puck are puzzling, and his broken coverage and the fact that he skated past an open guy who scored and turn the opposite way from Roobroeck on his goal showed a lack of awareness.Massive win yesterday. The first three Oshawa goals can be attributed to bad plays by individual players that lead to Oshawa getting prime scoring chances - first Miedema gets outmuscled at the blueline and can't get the puck out which leads to an Oshawa goal, then Uens gets outmuscled in the slot and Buckley can walk in untouched. Lastly after having great possession for what felt like over a minute in the O-Zone, McGowan passes out front to nobody and it clears the zone to send Roobroeck on a break.
At least McGowan made up for his mistake with a nice rebound-shot a couple shifts later to get the lead right back.
As for current system goalies - here's who we've drafted that's an '05 or younger:
I didn't include Michael Chambre ('05) as he's committed to Boston U for next year.

Moncada's team is absolutely horrendous - his only win was a 40 save shutout back in September, he's lost every other game since, plus he has the same size issue as Vaccari.
Herman is an intresting one - decent numbers in a backup role and a solid frame.
I heard that Lockhart violated some team rules- - must have have been a biggie. On a positive note last night was one of the stronger games i've watched the Fronts play this season.
Vaccari once again started off horrible letting in 2 goals on 3 shots and the team battled hard for him.
He was pretty good post those 2 goals to start the game.
Schmidt looked like he didn't miss a beat. -He is much better offensively then he gets credit for and thank god this is going to reduce UENS ice time...-This team is much better when they can keep UENS /McGowan on the bottom pairing.
Maleek has noticeably lost a lot of weight and muscle from his flu bug he had. I've been told he lost 15 lbs. -You can tell he has lost a bit of that physical edge he used to have.
Burns also played a well disciplined game (this is equivalent to a Lunar eclipse frequency wise)
This kid has so much potential if he can learn to keep his emotions in check.
All in all this team when healthy has a chance to surprise some teams in the east.
It was great to see Generals Live resorting to blaming the refs last night because he was all out of excuses. (Yes they were without Lockhart their OA Canucks drafted forward that was not good enough to earn his ELC contract) -Shocked that never came up.
Does anyone know what Lockhart did to get scratched 4 games in a row?
I totally agree with the Caputi disrepect and the complete opposite with MAnn.I think Beast was eluding to organizations, agents and families not wanting their kids to go to Kingston the last couple years under Caputi.
It started to get around media rooms that NHL teams didnt want their prospects in Kingston.
I believe this has done a 180 with Troy coming. -You would be hard pressed to find a better person to prep JR hockey players to go pro then T.M.
No one was parting with their goalies at the deadline and i can't see Kingston throwing around 2nd or 3rds to get a goalie. -I'm guessing it will be a VERY HIGH priority to address goaltending this off season.
The thing with Thibideau is at least he stands out at times beating players with his skating and speed.I totally agree with the Caputi disrepect and the complete opposite with MAnn.
Meidima saw 3 shifts in 2nd and 1? in third. Man, he must be pissed along with Thibideau, but I didn't see either of them do anything to deserve any more. #rd line played a good game and gave the top 2 lines (who were also very good) a good rest.
The third line didn't play well-- they were on for 2 goals, had trouble making passes, didn't play solid defensively and lost nearly every puck battle.I totally agree with the Caputi disrepect and the complete opposite with MAnn.
