Kings Win 5-2

I wonder how pissed that loser Avs reporter who made fun of McNabb in the beginning of the season is right now.

He got canned by the Denver Post already. His twitter rant on McNabb led to his dismissal.

It's funny you say that. I was thinking tonight how much I hope McNabb scores a goal just so Adrian Dater can have an aneurysm. 30 seconds later, he assists on Gaborik's goal.

If this is what's going to happen if I get laid instead of watching the game, I'm taking offers to set me up for game nights for the rest of the year...

Missed the game, went to the beach.

forgot to record it on my DVR, Fail, epic fail.

For the first three Sharks playoff games I recorded the game. 0-3. I said **** it, won't record game 4. Game 5. Game 6. Game 7.

Game 1. Game 2.

Got brave again, recorded game 3. Oof.

Did not record another game.

Playoff recorded game record 2014: 0-4.

Playoff non-recorded game record 2014: 16-6.

Moral of the story? Don't record any more games, Dmac.

Stoll was brutal tonight. Those penalties and lapses in defensive coverage were ugly. Shore should definitely get the nod over him based on his recent play. That fourth line looks amazing.

Kevin Weekes just called Jordan Nolan's pass to Jeff Carter a world class play. :)

Stop on the dime, give and go? I am really loving Nolan's development. Kudos to Sutter for recognizing it as well.

Really happy for Nolan. Keep it up, Jordan!

Still have a lot of work to do if we want to leap frog Calgary or Winnipeg, or the Canucks if they fall. I don't see Minnesota faltering as long as Dubnyk is there, he's been a revelation for them.

No way the Wild continue in this vein. I like our schedule; I feel we are going to catch Minny on the crash side of this run.

Brayden McNabb got the 1st star of the night from NHL Network.

1 goal, 2 assists. Dynamite game from Brayden.

Clifford and Nolan may have had a ton of weight lifted off of their shoulders after both players were locked up. Is it a coincidence that both of their play has been elevated since they committed to long-term deals? I think not.

They probably felt unsure of themselves as bubble players prior to their new extensions. Their play has really added a much needed element of secondary help, seeing how sometimes the guys relied upon to carry the offensive workload tend to take nights off.

This is the type of production you see from championship teams. It's the role guys who elevate their game that helps give a team that extra added advantage over the competition.

Herby's Green Jacket award update.

Brown -11 (Ouch, Cap, Ouch)
Nolan -6
Muzzin -5

Stoll's since Jan 31: 18GP 1G 0A 1P -6 (Ouch) Fourth line you be Stoll, reaching (BELOW) Richards territory. . Stoll started the year ok, he has now fallen off a cliff.

This is a great observation. I made it myself mentally about Nolan's play, but it is clear that it also applies to Clifford as well.

On the other side of the ledger, I thought Kopitar was pretty much invisible tonight as well as King, who did have one really good shift in the 3rd but otherwise I didn't notice him all night.

Stoll was more than noticeable with two bonehead penalties. After the second, the cutaway to Sutter was priceless, who could be seen mumbling under his breath (wonder what Sutter-mumbling sounds like?).

Kings just need to focus on the Teams ahead of them.
Jets only one point ahead of the kings but the kings have played one less game.
Flames tied but they have a better ROW
Nucks 3 points up but Kings play them 3 times.
Kings only need to pass one of them, but could pass all 3.
Maybe it is the root beer floats talking but not worried about making the playoffs at the moment.

Something like, "I'd give my left nut for a #3 center."

Scratch that, "I'd give Ron's left nut for a #3 center."

The way Shore is being used (only 1 minute less than Stoll tonight), I'm confident in saying that they are grooming him to become the #3 C behind Kopitar and Carter for the foreseeable future and old man Stoll can find a sucker to overpay for his services come July 1.

Although Weal may be on the small side, would be fun to see what he can do with Nolan and/or Clifford. He also has demonstrated chemistry with Andreoff so he could add some offensive spark as a fourth line center next season. Though I do believe that Nic Dowd may be more suited to play that role given his style of play.
