I wouldn't say he isn't effective on the pp because he hasn't had much of a chance. The Kid scores goals and shoot's the puck whenever he has it. He should be on the second unit for sure.

I've been watching him, one of my favorite players. He's had his chances (last night as well) and to be frank, it's not working for him right now. I don't blame Sutter for going with other players on the 2nd unit.

Seriously though...

Lewis vs Williams... Lewis is faster and better with the puck (still may not be good) and better defensively...

Lewis vs Brown.... Hey he made a great pass to Kopitar last night.... sample size is one and all, but Brown doesn't really pass so there's that....

Don't get me wrong... I hate Lewis on the top line... Last night Gaborik would hit the offensive zone... pass to Kopitar then continue driving the net... Kopitar would look for a pass and the only option out there was the D... who knows where Lewis was.... this happened multiple times... At the same time the fact that Lewis is anywhere close to filling in a spot for Brown/Williams is just embarrassing.... Some guys need to step it up.

I have no social anxiety nor do I have problems being around people. However, I'm not a fan of being around obnoxious drunk people. :)

I just don't find the entire experience of battling traffic, finding parking, leaving at 10:30, and then fighting more traffic to be fun. Especially on weekdays.

Never really seen the appeal of bars. I go to parties, that's not a problem at all. I've been to a hand full of concerts (NIN a couple times), but honestly I stopped going because they all underwhelmed me. Only reason I've seen NIN a handful of times is because it's a proper show. Even then I have little motivation to go again because they upload all the footage in 1080p online, lol.

When the Kings play their game, fans of other teams are constantly talking about the obstruction that isn't called. I try to be objective when watching games and I don't think the Kings get away with stuff. I think the Kings physically manhandle other teams at times and as a fan of another team, that has to be frustrating as all hell to watch. Last night there were easily two or three calls for both teams that didn't get called in the third period. The refs swallowed their whistles for the most part.

The positives:

The Carter line
Dwight King in particular. I'll eat crow on King, he's been very impressive
McNabb and McBain playing above expectations
Lewis being all heart and hustle even if he has close to zero offensive ability

With that said, there are some negatives:

Greene, he's just a pylon out there
Stoll and Williams. These two are dragging down whoever is put on their line. I firmly believe one of the reasons King is playing better is because he's not with these two anymore. I still have some faith in Williams turning it around, but Stoll looks like a lost cause.

It is not Williams. It is Stoll. He neuters any creativity from an offensive standpoint on whatever line he is on. I actually made that comment to a friend last night. To put it bluntly, he sucks. I see absolutely no reason to bring him back next year unless he is making $1M and playing on the 4th line. I'm still not sold on Nick Shore but I can't imagine he'd be doing worse than Stoll in that role. Drop Stoll to the 4th line center role and pay the troll toll to have Shore fill Stoll's hole. I feel bad for Williams playing on a line with Brown and Stoll. I feel like he is constantly rolling his eyes and shaking his head at the full Pejorative Slur plays of his linemates. I think Williams went offside like 4 times a few games ago because neither of those two could make up their mind with what they wanted to do with the puck when they were approaching the blue line. Even Gaborik looked like a turd burger when he was playing with Stoll for a few games a couple weeks back. he sucks!

To each their own. I find maybe 3-5% of the crowd at staples center to be obnoxious, up that to maybe 8% in the playoffs. Most are just normal people who want to see the kings win.

To me, almost nothing can compare to celebrating with 20, 000 other people when the Kings score a big goal or win a big game.
 
I don't want to be dramatic but those uniforms might be the worst uniforms in the history of the League. I'm sure there are some others right up there but this basically looks like someone put a "LA" on a picture of the greyscale. I'd like to be the first to coin these as the greyscale uniforms.

I agree with you on Stoll. How he ever had 46 assists in one season (05-06) is astonishing. His vision is very limited on the ice, his creativity = zero, and he kills line rushes nearly every time. The question is, does DL value his defensive and face-off skill higher than his now extremely limited offensive skill. Quite frankly, he is the one free agent that I would like to see move on. Richards can play the 3rd line center, Shore or Weal the 4th. As we all know, Stoll also takes a lot of bad penalties.
 
I'm with RP on going to games. I don't like the process of getting to the game with traffic, parking, finding food etc, and I'm not big on all the promo stuff during the game. All the pomp and circumstance around everything. I know they want to make an event out of each and every home game, but it's overwhelming and loud (can you tell I'm getting old?). I like the part where I get to watch live hockey though. Imagine that.

I will definitely agree on the promo stuff. If I had it my way there would be no kiss cam, no silly contests or trivia, Bailey would go extinct, and it would just be highlights in between whistles.

Still doesn't distract me too much from watching the greatest athletes in the world.
