Kings Win 2-1; SE7EN

I said my piece and left. It was like a den of honey badgers. It's a bizarro world thread where regular seasons wins matter if the East are the victors and they also don't matter when the Kings win, lol.

HFBoards, Never change. Ignoring it for now, but I'm not responsible for anything I post after 2 a.m.

Or, after a few more wins. ;)

But... we can't rob them of their chance for a banner. #BuiltfortheRegularSeason

This reminds me of when I went to that free rookie game at honda center, a Duck fan heckled me by saying the Kings don't have a pacific division title

Hmm...deciding if I should ignore the main boards, or drink quite a bit more and engage with them.

Getting in playoff mode already. I want to talk ****. Must hold back. Cannot sustain.*

*Me, not the Kings. Our boys can do anything.

Main boards

Can't beat LA: start calling us boring

TB = best team ever AINEC

Can't think of reason why their team is better than ours: start spewing random, cherry-picked **** and ad hominems

Don't forget the whole division sucks because only 1 team is above 70 points. It's not that we have beat the crap out of each other and only have 2 weak teams in the whole conference. Where the East has 4. And 6/8 of the worst record teams. And just by coincidence being in the East you get to play those 6 much more often.

Well I went to the event, spent a lot of money this time around. The atmosphere was dead if you ask me. That Etheridge performance was just terrible.

Glad the Kings won, but I will be skipping all future outdoor games from here on out. It was just a colossal waste of cash.

Really the atmosphere down by me was crazy even had cops break up a fight

I love mid-90s Etheridge. That performance was... unfortunate. I was reminded of how we were all pretending that Sir Paul McCartney's singing on SNL40 wasn't... painful.

Still can't get over that Etheridge performance. My god.

Sounding like Marilyn Chambers out there... Sexy Sexy Sexy....
(note: not responsible for anything that pops up if you don't know who Mrs. Chambers is, and google her.)

Not the same team as last year....

Muzzin went full McMuffin tonight.... I really appreciate a guy that can go full train wreck and still manage to get through the night.... It really is a skill to be going down in flames and still make it work... Way to stick with it Muzzin!!!

What kind of run and gun ******** was I watching tonight with both Brown and Williams completing 2 passes each in the offensive zone?

Seriously... Brown can pass? Who knew... now he has to make a decision.... if he wants to play on the line with Gaborik/Kopitar he needs to use the pass button more.... if he wants to be the go to guy on the line... back to Stoll/Willams.... and the Kings need to fill that first line spot.... (Kings will need more then one line for the playoffs)... Hope that's not too soon....

Regression to the mean... is the 7 game win streak the regression to the mean for the ****** season the Kings have had.... or is this a situation where the Kings will regress back to their mean and this streak is just an abnormality we cut from the data set? How does this work?

Oh yeah... good job Sutter for not ***** around with the 4th line with the goalie out... and for all of you guys that are like oh but 2 goal lead.... Johnny friging Hockey reminds you not to **** with the hockey gods....

The 7-game streak is their longest of the season.
It also has extended their road streak to 4, by far the longest of the season(they didn't even have back to back road wins until this win streak).

So, if they're regressing towards the mean, it's probably a good thing that they have so many road games left.

Playoff mode is in effect and i couldn't be happier. Imagine if we're playing like this when we get Pearson back..Jeez

Sharks Hockey...

FAST. HARD. SUPPORTIVE.

LOL.

I kind of got that impression just by watching on TV. The game was honestly a little boring. I found myself watching Rick & Morty at one point and playing guitar instead. I'm so sick of outdoor games, the novelty has completely worn off for me. Still glad they won though, of course.

Still can't believe we're doing this with the defense corps we have. I'm starting to believe. I mean, Carolina won the Cup in '06 with a worse D group than us...

I wish I would of gone because I would of been drinking Sharks fans tears but three things kept me from going:

1 - I spent near $200 on my ticket to Dodger Stadium and got my parents seats for Christmas, so near $600 for the event before incidentals. My cheapest season seat is $602 for the entire season.

2 - Then they lost while not scoring. Easily one of the Top 5 leaving a game angry moments of my life where the wrong thing said to me could of led to problems. Game 6 2010 Canucks, Game 3 2007 SCF at Honda and Game 6 WCF 2014 are the others that pop up. Due to this, drinking the Shark fans' tears in person last night would of been pretty dickish, even for me. I was so, so pissed off last year and this is basically the same situation for them that we faced last season with the Dodger Stadium game. I enjoyed watching the game at home with friends, Domenico's famous ground pepperoni pizza and some shared laughs at SJ before moving on to something else. I would of been insufferable up there and regretted being such a dick the next day haha.

3 - Levi Stadium: Who cares? I know it's the new shiny toy but, that's the thing, it is new. No history, no wow factor. No "I can't believe a hockey rink is in the middle of (Dodger Stadium, Fenway, Yankee, Soldier Field etc...). Hell, the place has only hosted seven more regular season football games than hockey games at this point! I was excited for this game because of its importance in the standings but it being at this new stadium barely registered as exciting. These games are cash grabs but I had to go to the first ever in California so I let the NHL grab my cash. Did that and will now probably not go to another one unless the Kings were actually in the WC which will probably never happen, although LA v. Chicago at Soldier Field would be something. It would be one thing to get a Chicago trip in on top of the game: it's another to go to SJ.

Glad for those that went and had a good time though. Winning makes everything a lot better, I'm sure. It's cool for California hockey that this even sold out but it has been done now. I hope the NHL takes a breather from them but they probably won't: these things must be like three playoff games worth of gate revenue for the NHL. I think one of the keys to really enjoying these events is not to spend good money on the tickets because you are still going to be far away.

I went to the game and I thought the whole experience was much better than the dodger stadium game. Tailgating makes the event a hundred times better because you actually get to interact with other fans. They're were a lot of kings fans there. Surprisingly, the sharks fans weren't very hostile. At least not to me. One guy in our section was being a loud mouth but he was such an idiot that I'd consider him harmless. The look on sharks fans faces while we were leaving was borderline depressing. Maybe I'm getting softer as I get older but they looked sad lol! Overall, I had a lot of fun. I was sitting in the first row of the 300 level and it was the best view I've had at an outdoor game. I'm not sure went they'd want to use baseball stadiums.

Favorite quote of the night brought to you the dad sitting behind me:

"John scott is in the line up tonight. That means the kings won't be able to take any liberties". I had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't Hayward.

Levi's stadium has an app where you can either order food delivered to your seat or pick up your order from an express line without a wait.

Another interesting thing was the warning not to drink the water since it was recycled. That was posted above the urinals.

What, you don't remember when TB was better than us? They beat us so bad in that 7 game series, no?

I don't remember that either. ;)
