lmao Ouch!

At least if it was Anaheim or Chicago they could say "Well, at least we've won it before." but considering San Jose hasn't and the implosion they experienced this season that's going to sting the Sharks even more. I expect they'll be well motivated for that game to try and exact some bit of vengeance.

I would guess that's what the league is hoping for.

I hope they're motivated for it too. I love what the Kings and Sharks have started to build in the last few years. The Sharks were in the league for 20 years before they and the Kings met in important games. 3 playoff series in the last 4 years. Two 7 game series. The 0-3 comeback. Kings have 2 Cups, Sharks don't. The Sharks have been in a position to chase it for a few more years than the Kings have, and beaten to the punch. The Sharks had that Game 3 comeback in 2011. Thornton doing his little dance after scoring the series winner in OT. Thornton devastated at the end of the series this year. It's why we all watch.

Twist the Knife NHL.

I have this picture of Lee Ermey (full Metal Jacket) of him sticking his knife in a little sharkie while whispering "Shhh Shhh that's it all over now"...

And will we care if the Sharks win? No.

The Kings have done a masterful job of making the regular season almost completely irrelevant for Kings fans.

Who needs those "dirty banners" for regular season success. Just make the playoffs and let's see what happens.

Regular season?? Ahh you must mean Pre playoff camp approximately 82 games to determine who stays and who goes. A lot of good prospects get the chance to show off and make the rooster. :sarcasm:
