That looks like the finish on the Auger goal, which was a beautiful goal. Comes out of the corner on his forehand and when he gets close to the crease chips the puck a couple feet further through the crease and then slams it home on the far post with his very very lengthy reach. There's only a few guys in the world that make that play.
 


Would be cool if The Gooch finds this scoring touch that we were used to seeing against the Kings.



I do not miss getting burned like that on essentially every opposing center-lane-drive entry. This one features Westgarth AND Penner on the ice at the same time...
 
Glad to see some peeps get on the board, but it sounds like the Ducks were ECHL caliber at best.

very true. But it's definitely better to see the guys being hungry corsi monsters and driving the net and finishing rather than the opposite. I see positive things and positive competition. I always say in the preseason you're ultimately competing against yourself rather than other teams so it's really nice to see guys on PTOs and prospects pushing hard (and guys like Brown finishing because every little bit of confidence helps).

SO yeah, don't read too much into it either way, but its' sure better to see good than bad
