Personally I'd like to see Chromiak go and rip up the OHL with S Wright and Z Wisdom then head overseas to play 2-3 seasons in Europe and then make his LA debut ala my Avatar

Martin will not need 2-3 seasons in Europe. He's better served to play in Ontario next year and be on the Kings for 23-24...if not sooner.

I like when players play less games leaving more time for the Weight room and the AHL doesn't afford him that! When I take out my "Crystal Ball" I see a Kubalik kind of future but this time LA doesn't blow it and Chromiak becomes a scoring Star Winger

If blowing it you mean trading him for a 5th/6th/whatever to Chicago, I agree. If you mean blowing it in his development immediately post-draft, the kid took care of that himself by dropping a deuce for two years right after getting selected.

Ray Martyniuk(5-8) the 1st goaltender drafted in the First round in the common(NHL) draft by the Montreal Canadiens. Played with Powerhouse Flin Flon Bombers! Ray was a diminutive goaltender and once played for the Seattle Totems of the WHL when it was a Pro circuit.It was said that Martyniuk got so sick and tired of goaltending that he tossed his goaler equipment int Moyie lake,BC after a Championship loss. He passed away in Panama. As a kid I thought he'd make it and back up Gilles Meloche(5-9) one of my favorite goaltenders(Rogie Vachon-5-7)) being the other

I'm a Kings fan for going on 51 years and a Seattle Kraken from the moment they were accepted to the NHL brotherhood! I imagine Seattle will get a King or two from waivers soon

Nice article. It sounds like a lot of the criticism of his game leading up to the draft I’d no longer valid, which is great to read. It seems he’s really developing quickly and he’s going to pushing hard to get a shot next training camp. One thing is certain, with hindsight, he’s no longer a 5th round pick.

He was projected by 2nd round by many early on IIRC. Kind of funny. It's like people were right about him but didn't trust themselves.
