The last two guys he did that with was O'Sullivan and Jack Johnson.

Given how much Lombardi reveres the New England Patriots for their sustainability, one would think he'd make such a move, but who knows what he's thinking.

And even then, he only did it because Patty upgraded to Williams (unlikely to pull that off again) and JJ had a replacement ready in Voynov.

Royal Failures.

Made me laugh.

not only Quick but Bernier, Scrivens and Jones especially. Zatkoff is just one big, greasy turd

So agree! I just hope that when Quick comes back there is not another baby quick as seems to be the case with each injury, LOL! I mean come on, you got a groin injury this time:sarcasm:

I thought about Johnson after I hit "Submit Reply" but I'm not so sure he has declined, it's just that Carter is a better player.

O'Sullivan is spot on, however.

Of course, he has done nothing of the sort since they started winning except on guys that were prospects or on tiny cap hits. Scrivens comes to mind.

A couple significant differences between the NFL and NHL to make that comparison. QB's mean everything, and the Pats have maybe the greatest ever. You can also cut guys at the drop of a hat. The Kings have some good players, but nobody is an all-timer, and can't just say goodbye to anyone not producing relative to the cap hit.

They also really haven't dropped off that much when Brady has missed time.

Superior coaching and system. Also gets the right players for said system.

Like you said, easier to move on from roster mistakes as well. Plus, they have a QB that takes discounts in order to make the entire team better.

Plus, it helps to have the Prince of Darkness as the head coach.

Fantastic kill.

Holding one of the best offensive teams in the league to 5 SOG so far but of course we're losing -_-

Yes Fox, it's great that the Kings have kept the Rangers to 7 shots half way through the game. They have more moral victories than regulation ones this year.

I haven't seen any second or third chances from the Kings. All of their chances are one and done shots on net.

Hey, at least Nolan is looking more active inside the offensive zone than Kopitar.
