Well, to be fair, he was given decent minutes in first games of the season and even was named alternate captain, but after couple of sloppy plays coach Andrei Nazarov quickly reverted those changes, so Shafigullin is now back to 4th line duties with 6 minutes of icetime.


Btw, in other news Alexander Dergachyov has been called up to Russia NT for the Karjala Cup, which will be held on 8th-11th of November in Helsinki.

I haven't seen Neftekhimik team for quite some time, so I can't really tell here. But again, CAN/RUS Series starts soon, so we will have a chance to see how he does in those 6 games or so in a pretty interesting environment with decent icetime to more or less evaluate where he is at this point of development.

Kupari stats....3rd on Karpat now. 6 goals, 6 assists, 12 pts in 16 gms...the player ahead of him, is 19 yr old Aleksi Heponiemi, a Florida 2nd rd pick of 2 yrs ago,
that had 118 pts in the WHL last yr. So, Kupari is about keeping pace with him and he's 1.5 yrs older too. Makes you wonder if Kupari would be scoring 100 pts in WHL. 12 pts in 16 Liga games at 18 yrs old is stellar.

I was more excited for Ingham than Hrenak after the draft but it looks like they're both doing pretty good so far
