Niagara lost 5-4 in OT, Thomas had a Goal(14) and -2.
Mississauga lost 6-5 in SO, Ingham stopped 42/47.
SSM won 5-4 in OT, Villalta stopped 27/31.

1/4 results:

Niagara lost 6-3, Thomas was scoreless and -3.
SSM won 5-4 in OT, Villalta stopped 34/38.
Mississauga lost 7-4, Ingham stopped 29/35.
Owen Sound lost 4-3, Aidan Dudas had a Goal(14) and even.
Spokane won 4-1, JAD had an Assist(1) and +1.

1/5 games:

North Bay @ Owen Sound (Dudas)
Spokane (JAD) @ Kootenay

Status of Phillips is unknown.

Kings should send Finnish Junior Rasmus Kupari to finish out season in CHL with Soo Greyhounds! Anyone have any pull with the Kings to make that happen. LOL

SSM lost 6-4, Villalta stopped 16/18 in relief.
Niagara won 6-5 in SO, Thomas was scoreless and +2.

It looks like he is bouncing back and forth between the two teams. He's played some games in both leagues recently. Not good enough for the KHL but probably too good for the MHL. In North America terms, it's like bouncing back and forth between the AHL and junior hockey or the ECHL.
 
What's the opinion on Akil Thomas? Kid is averaging an assist a game, which seems impressive. Does he look like there's some NHL potential in his game and where does he slot?

He has a PNHLe rating of 58 right now, that generally translates into an NHL player down the line. That being said, he looked the most "not ready" of any of the prospects in the rookie camp games, a bit over his head against the older players, but he was only 18. There were some concerns about conditioning and commitment to it over the summer that I believe the Kings addressed. Has the potential to be a 2C, but I don't see a good look at the NHL until he is maybe 22-23 years old unless he makes huge strides physically, which of course is very possible. He dropped quite a bit in the draft. Was listed in the 20's, fell to 51st. He'll be a prime candidate for a year or two in the AHL when he time comes.

Between Hepo and Kyrou? Shit, I'd take that anyday.

Maybe this year will be a wakeup call for him becoming a pro.
 
Brickley hurt in San Jose tonight. Spent 2-3 minutes face down on the ice with the trainer before being helped off by teammates. Couldn't put any weight on his left leg. Went into the boards backwards after getting tangled with with an Cuda player.

Not exactly in CHL or College but Dominik Kubalik, you drafted him in 7th round back in 2013, is having a good season in NLA - top scorer. Top scorer for Czech Republic last year at WC.

Still only 23 years old.

I wonder if he ll get a call anytime soon or at all?

We've reportedly been linked yearly but I can imagine now more than ever they'd want to give him a look.
 
Vilardi not traded today.

Not a big surprise but Kingston didn’t try to get anything for him seems like yet another reminder he is in bad shape and unlikely to play anytime soon.
