My favorite is when someone said they need to let the players make more mistakes as if players really want to make mistakes all over the ice. :laugh:

1-0 games are the best. It's exciting to hold the lead and frustrate other teams with good defense. This isn't like soccer where 1-0 games = sleep aid.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Kings bludgeon the Red Wings with hits in the 1st period until the Red Wings were no longer willing to go to the places on the ice where they were going to get hit the hardest.

I think it's funny to get called boring after we've been anything but all year. One game is all it takes to make the 'experts' pull their hair out and post and write all sorts of ******** that isn't even true at this point.

I didn't even get to watch the game yet because I hate Detroit games, always full of shenanigans, and it sounds like this one was no different.

I've been very impressed with Shore these last couple of games. If the 4th line can keep up this play it'll make us very dangerous.
 
I will admit that I found the 2nd to be a little less then entertaining. The first period was one of the most entertaining periods of regular season hockey anyone will every watch. The third was great too, lots of good scoring chances and good saves.
Quick on Nyquist was awesome

Yeah, I was falling asleep watching the Wings pass the puck back and forth as though it was a hot potato. I keep wondering if Wings fans are thinking to themselves "Shoot the ****ing puck already!"

I know they are a patient team, and that there are advantages to that, but you have to shoot sometime. They ended up with 19 shots on goal and didn't get one the last five minutes of the game, as I recall, as they took a couple of stupid penalties and the Kings just played catch in their offensive zone.

Gotta pull the trigger sometime, Red Wings. If you don't shoot, you don't score. And hey, you didn't score last night.
 
I'm partial to Red Wings HF fans. They've been pretty level-headed overall compared to what I usually read on other team boards, including our own. Not much snark or jumping off a cliff.

However, the snarky and dramatic GDTs are the most fun to read. I'm proud to say Kings fans are quite good at bringing the self-deprecating sarcasm during losing streaks. ;)
 
i can't remember when it was, but it was about 2/3 through our really bad stretch, when i posted "i still just can't find it in myself to stop watching." and now i know why.

kings have lived up to a couple of big challenges recently that have made me really proud. not only beating SJ - a rival - but doing it when they really needed it to bolster their position in the standings. same with beating calgary earlier in the streak. it's also really nice to see the D and Quick both back in prime shape right now. seeing Quick and Doughty celebrate the other night was awesome.

This is the first game I thought we actually missed Tanner Pearson. His speed and skill would have helped last night.
But I'll take the W. No complaints.
 
Remember when you guys were struggling and I came in and said RELAX!!! I predicted the kings would go on a crazy streak and make the playoffs and due damage. Well. So far Ive been right. As much as I hate seeing this, I just have to admire the defense you guys are playing right now. Its not just the Dmen, Your team Defense is beyond any other team. Thats why you've won 8 in a row. You guys are due for a loss. Lets see what happens. See you fridat night.
 
I was at the game and I didn't think it was the least bit boring. Most of the crowd was on the edge of their seat the whole night.

Extra sweet to see all those Wings fans never get a chance to celebrate. :D

I remember those days, a couple of weeks ago...panic, mass hysteria. It is good to hear a rival team's fan's respect during that period of loss after loss. (I'll just ignore the "you guys are due for a loss" part.)
