Don't have info, but I'll be in attendance tonight. Proudly wearing my Palffy jersey. Go Kings Go.

I think we'll see the polar opposite of those sleepwalking, turkey-stuffed hot-dogs who were wearing those Kings sweaters last night. Expecting a strong bounce back game here, cause they seem to be able to pump themselves up against 'good' teams (that feels wrong here, using the g-word to describe the Oil) but yeah. That's the Kings team I've come to expect. Sleepwalk against the bottom-dwellers, look great against the top teams.

I can rep my PALFFY 33 as well this evening. Can't hurt right?

This thread makes me miss Ziggy. Aside from Carter, he was the last player who gave us hope when the puck was on his stick. Ziggy had a knack for creating something out of nothing, and he was money on breakaways. Remember when Kopitar was good at them? Where oh where did that player go? Now all he does is make a lazy attempt at shootouts or breakaways. Even Brett Hull was critical of Kopi's lame shootout moves at the World Cup. He said this himself: a player like him is too good to make such a lazy attempt.

Hopefully Lucic doesn't take advantage of how soft this team has gotten. Patrick Maroon is another player to look out for as it seems like he scores in every game he plays against the Kings, going back to his days with the Ducks.

With all the crap brown gets, gaborik has not produced at all, and lately has been invisible. He needs to start stepping up.

hard to get excited for this game - or any recent game actually...

I'm definitely one of the pessimists when it comes to this year's team, but the CBJ/NSH/DAL stretch they just went through caused a bit of excitement.

Understandable to want to stay away from this team after last game though.

They looked like the LA Rams of the NHL in terms of excitement.

Definitely one of the major suspects in terms of making this a very inefficient roster. Signed until 2021, and won't be going anywhere, with no reason to even retire.

A team can manage with one bad contract. Get to two, and it all starts to get very difficult. Plus, how much cap space can the Kings spend on wingers? If they're all producing, fine. $11m for Brown and Gaborik, if neither guy can score, it's a team killer. And Toffoli and Pearson need new deals. And you're spending $15m on your top 2 centers. And 3 defensemen making $4m-$7m. And a $6m goalie. It starts adding up, especially if you don't have a lot of guys on ELC's that can do something for you.

Gaborik doesn't look anything close to the guy that was flying around during the World Cup.

Guy's game is built on speed and I don't think his conditioning is where it needs to be. There is definitely an element of skill deterioration but the conditioning and then not having a full-strength Kopitar to play with are compounding matters.

Still ridiculous that this team wasted a 27 goal season from Gaborik in 2015.

Just one more thing to add to the list since June of 2014. Gaborik is working on 16 goals in his last 67 games. It was passable last year, because they had Lucic, and Kopitar got back up to his career average. Now there's no Lucic, and Gaborik isn't scoring, and Kopitar isn't scoring. Toffoli, looking at 20 goals instead of 30. Maybe Pearson isn't a 20-25 goal guy in the NHL, maybe it's 15-20 instead. And every goal counts on this team.

It's sad that there's almost no reason to even pay attention when Kopitar's line is on the ice. We basically have one scoring line, and it's one guy. Carter or bust.
