Someone needs to beat the **** out of Dan Carcillo next time these teams meet. Clifford or Nolan need to teach that disrespectful sack of crap a lesson in humility.

Both him and Shaw need a tickle up. For a lightweight team like chicago its disappointing that we don't win the physical game, Nolan and Clifford need to be all over that.

Reminded me of the 2013 playoffs against the Hawks - a depleted defensive lineup, a slumping Kopitar and Quick losing a puck in the corner.

Brad Richards on scoring two goals at Staples Center: "I wish I would have done it the last game I was in here." #NYR #LAKings #Blackhawks

During the broadcast Fox was mentioning something about Dec. 1st. I was interested in what it was. Did they ever get around to it or did I just missed it some how? My guess was it was something about Voynov?

That's just his euphemism for "I regret not signing with the LA Kings back in the 2011 offseason, to the point they already won twice without me."

:naughty:

Getting Martinez back would be nice but boy we need Voynov back, or someone with the same skating and skillset. Don't know if anyone is out there, though.

Yeah, that's the date of Voynov's arraignment.

The Kings have lost their entire second D-pairing and have not replaced it, which has just put more pressure on Doughty and Muzzin to perform. Can't really expect the other four active dmen on the roster to perform beyond their expectations. None of them can replace the minutes that were played by Mitchell and Voynov.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut from time to time. I actually thought Doughty knocked it in after he touched in. A lucky goal either way.

Lucky my ass, he was in the right place forcing the issue and did well to get a stick on it. Perhaps if our boys drove the net a little harder it would have been a better game instead of the hawks schooling us.

Thanks. Hope upon hope that the case is dropped. That's actually the very best scenario for the Kings cuz they get the added talent without having to give anything up, plus there is no need to have that new guy get acclimated to a new team. The Hawks just plain outskated our D. If the Hawks simply skated north-south instead of east-west they would have easily beaten our defenders each and every time. I saw that some Hawks pulled up and thought they should have just continued to skate! They had our D beat!

I'm still not completely sure how the Kings won the series last year with Kopitar scoring 0 goals in the series.

I think we're all used to the Kings doing this by now. It doesn't always make it fun as a fan, but they are what they are. The reason they've become such a difficult out in the playoffs, is the same reason they're not great in the regular season. It doesn't matter what team they're playing, and it doesn't matter if they won or lost the previous game.

True that. The playoff format fits the Kings well. They can lose, lose, lose, but it doesn't matter. They only need to win that important one.
