Feels like this one is a loss, I think when we were on a heater last year the team who stopped it was LA when they played us in Toronto

Hope I'm wrong though, we need to keep up with Boston and their stupid pace!

Can't wait till the D-corps is healthy, so they can start resting Gio. Dude really could use a break.
Gio has been incredible the last few weeks. Holl, Sandin and Liljegren have stepped up big time as well.

The fact that Gio has been able to do it at his age is remarkable though. He definitely needs a break.

Agreed.

With a hopeful return to health on Defence and the solid play of our Defensive depth, hopefully Gio can get some rest and load management. Brodie as well, before he was injured.

The man has been beyond belief and will be even more valuable in the playoffs. Minding that he’s 39, there would definitely be merit to resting him whenever possible, and allowing our young D to show what they can do, starting with Timmins.

Good to have Brodie back. The depth guys stepped up in a big way, but having Brodie back is big. Don't like having SDA come up and send him down after 1 game but he was really the only move they could do

So if they win then it's not like last year.

Saying this as kind of a joke but also not. While this has a potential to be a trap game, I think it's good today is Thursday. If this were a Monday or Tuesday, 100% a trap game. Early weeknight games vs. southern opponents... Those were the games we would lose to the Thrashers. I feel better that it's Thursday!

They did but in the rematch the Leafs destroyed them. They already had their most pathetic effort against LA in the first game so there's nowhere to go but up from that at least.

Glad to have Brodie back in the lineup! I can see him slotting in on the third pair with Timmins to start.

Sandin - Liljegren
Giordano - Holl
Brodie - Timmins

Leaf fans in shambles as they have nothing to argue over.

Both goalies playing well
Both Sandin and Lilly playing well
Both Matthews and Marner playing well

Who do we argue over??? Timmons and Hollowell?
Why Engvall still has a spot on this team. But based on what I see on these boards the last month or so there's not much to argue about.

Not sure how anything can defend the decision to keep him in the line up. There is 100% an AHL call up who can do what he does.

If Sandin and Lilly had a little bit more time in the league this group would be solid to go with.

Mo has been here for a long time. But personally I'm not missing him. He slots back in for Timmins and Brodie goes to the other side but imagine what we could do with that cap space....

Yes. Bottom 5 goals against
26th ranked PK, but their PP is 8th

Why? LA is in a wild card spot and they're coming off a win, it's a pretty good team actually, I thought trap games were games where the opponent is clearly a worse team, if anything this is a revenge game for the Leafs
Kings fans think they're going to get dummied.
They are a pedestrian 4-3-3 in their last ten.

Martin Kaut on waivers is interesting - former 16th OA RW, only 38 NHL GP. I would imagine he doesn't fall further than a few of the bottom-5 teams.

When did he become a King? Thought he was on Colorado.
